Man this point last year we were all so excited. Stayed up till 9AM to finish it.

Even the buildup to the Andre The Giant battle royal was great. We were debating who would win it because it interested us. This year it's not even half assed. Just threw a bunch of jobbers there and tried to add credibility by having Stephanie barring Cena from it Laughing

No point turning him face, he should just be Brock Lesnar, an ass kicking beast.

As noted, WWE World Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar appeared on ESPN today and announced that he has signed a multi-year deal with WWE after Vince McMahon made him an offer he couldn’t refuse at RAW in Los Angeles.

Lesnar mentioned how he has been training for MMA but something was missing mentally for him, which was one of the factors that led to him going with WWE. Lesnar reportedly has been doing two months of MMA training that was described as very serious. Lesnar had been training up until just a few days ago preparing for a return to the Octagon.

It was also noted by Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter today that friends close to Lesnar and his wife Sable did not want him to return to professional fighting.

Brock staying with WWE for a few more years obviously opens the door for several high-profile feuds and the expected big babyface turn. Some are expecting Sunday’s WrestleMania 31 event to see Lesnar as a super babyface against Reigns as a super heel, due in part to the crowd. A Lesnar babyface turn has reportedly been decided on within WWE since the first of the year.

We noted before that WWE World Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar’s new WWE contract is for three years. According to Reddit user MetsFan4Ever, who has broken several WWE stories, Lesnar is set to make $3 million per year. He will be working limited dates during the new contract as he did with the previous contract. If the $3 million per year figure is correct, that’s a decrease from the $5 million per year that he’s been rumored to be making.

Since Brock re-signed on Monday night, the WWE World Heavyweight Title match at WrestleMania 31 has been heavily discussed. WWE creative has reportedly been working night and day on the outcome of the match with Triple H, Vince McMahon and other top officials.

We noted before that there were plans to elevate the WWE United States Title and the Intercontinental Title after WrestleMania. Vince is reportedly on board with the idea of having Lesnar retain, Cena take the US Title from Rusev and either Sheamus or Daniel Bryan win the IC Title Ladder Match. However, it’s still not confirmed what Sheamus’ WrestleMania role will be. It looks like Dean Ambrose will be getting in on the chase for one of these titles as he’s reportedly in line for a heavy push going into SummerSlam.

On a related note, MetsFan noted that Reigns is being compared to Lex Luger and his push in 1993-1994 in the sense that Luger was pushed big time but never got over like WWE wanted as the time. Vince ended up getting behind the fan favorite Bret Hart and Luger ended up on the midcard.

WWE is going with John Cena vs. Rusev for the post-WrestleMania 31 United States Title feud and Daniel Bryan vs. Dolph Ziggler vs. Bad News Barrett for the post-WM Intercontinental Title feud. They are also planning a Bryan vs. Ziggler singles feud for after WrestleMania.

Post-WrestleMania plans for the WWE World Heavyweight Title, if Roman Reigns defeats Brock Lesnar on Sunday, would be Reigns vs. Seth Rollins. As usual, plans are always subject to change but these look to be the three top title feuds coming out of WrestleMania 31.

Meltzer: The Writers Have No Input on Lesnar/Reigns

"The writers have zero to do with Brock vs. Reigns. It is all Vince. HHH may have some influence, but he'd be the only one because Vince is not taking input from anyone except him, and it's possible he'll listen to Heyman. Also, whatever his idea is, he's not telling ANYONE (except maybe HHH or if Dwayne' s involved, and I don't know if he is or not) as of today."

Regarding why Daniel Bryan is in the WWE Intercontinental Title Ladder Match at WrestleMania 31 instead of the WWE World Heavyweight Title picture, it's not that WWE don't see him as a big part of the company or a top competitor, but one of the reasons is that there is still major concern over his health.

Bryan chose to undergo a unique form of rehabilitation for his injury last year and there is a strong fear within WWE that his injuries could become reoccurring issues due to the rehab he did. There's concern that the rehab Bryan chose is not a long-term permanent fix and just a short-term fix that could cause the problems to relapse.

It's likely that Bryan would be in a more prominent position at WrestleMania this year if WWE officials weren't worried that the elbow issues will come back.

Bryan's situation was compared by one source to Kurt Angle having several non-invasive surgeries on his neck years ago but over time Angle ended up having a lot of other issues stemming from the neck injury.
