€ 30M.
Pedro for 21.5m
Not sure I believe it but we could do worse.

30m is too high, less then 20m Euros it would be fair.

Dont worry about peanuts. We have far more important things to attend to. Our team stinks and we have an uphill battle to face if we are to stay in competition with the top teams. He's a good signing.

Apparently both Jose and Cesc have called Pedro to convince him to join.
Still unsure about this.

Mikel Obi to stay at Chelsea after Mourinho blocks his sale
Well....
http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/football/33477349Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has refused to sanction the sale of midfielder John Mikel Obi, delivering a blow to United Arab Emirates suitors Al Ain and Al Wahda.
The Nigeria international, who started only six league games last season, wants to leave Stamford Bridge after failing to hold down a regular starting place.
The 28-year-old, who has two years left on his contract, has been told he remains part of manager Mourinho's future plans.
"There's absolutely no truth to reports linking Mikel with a move to Turkey or any Chinese club for that matter," a source close to the talks told BBC Sport.
"Only two clubs from the UAE showed strong interest last month but they could not meet his club's valuation.
"Mikel has a contract with Chelsea until 2017, as things stand he will not be leaving the club this transfer window as speculated."
Mikel who moved to Chelsea in the summer of 2006 has increasingly become a fringe member of the squad due to the form of Nemanja Matic.
With the emergence of highly-rated midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek, the Super Eagle has fallen down the pecking order at the club ahead of the 2015/16 season.
Fenerbahce are reportedly interested in signing Mikel but BBC Sport understands Chelsea will only listen to a US $16.8 million offer.
The Turkish club's president Aziz Yildirim has told the local media they cannot meet Chelsea's valuation.
"Chelsea want €15 million and Mikel asked for €5 million a season over four years. We are talking €35 million," Yildirim told reporters at their Topuk Yayla training ground.
"This definitely is not something we can pursue."
Mikel has made 339 appearances in all competitions and has won every possible honour for Chelsea in his nine-year stint at the London club.
He has won two English Premier League titles, the Uefa Champions League, Uefa Europa League, four English FA Cup, two League Cup and the Community Shield.
Mikel, who has been capped 70 times by his country, won the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations and appeared in all Super Eagles' four matches at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
Well....

Kalas seems to be going back to Boro on loan. I feel he is stagnating a tad. Let's hope it goes well for him.

After signing Begovic?
The summer hasn't been terrible, it has the potential to be, though.

What they're thinking we believe is that they would possibly like to keep him. If they go into the market again that could change that idea."
"Victor obviously came to us last year and did exceptionally well for us. There were a couple of injuries that hampered him unfortunately but he showed enough in his time with us that it made Chelsea very aware of the talent they have and what Victor could offer."
"It could be that Victor now plays a part at Chelsea."
Um, no thanks.

We tried to sign him in Jan, so glad to see we've snapped him up.

Re: The 2015 Summer Transfer Rumour Thread
Well, theirs hasn't been great, either. They lost Traore and Labyad, among others.
We're at the teetering point for this window, it can either go really well or really poorly, depending on who we sign next. Sign a quality defender and CM, at least, and it will be a good window.
Sign a poor CB or no one at all and it will be a bad window.

Re: The 2015 Summer Transfer Rumour Thread
I think our starting XI as it is right now is what it'll be come September 1st. Only (more) squad additions to come I reckon.
Yes but they've got a whole new truckload of future former-Chelsea players on the way.

I agree, I don't see any changes to the starting XI.
At most, we'll add a defender, CM and AM/winger.

Thought I'd throw my two cents in on who I'd like as a CB. Someone in their mid 20s with leadership quality, N'kolou and Howedes come to mind.

Re: The 2015 Summer Transfer Rumour Thread
We've had a 20m pound bid for John Stones rejected.
I wonder how high we'll go?
Also, Kalas has been confirmed to be loaned to Boro.

I think £28m or so should be limit, including bonuses etc.
He can become a very good player for us.

Any truth to rumors linking Axel Witsel to us? I think that along with John Stones would be an excellent transfer window. Not entirely big on Pedro, but he would be a positive addition to the front line i guess.

Re: The 2015 Summer Transfer Rumour Thread
We've apparently submitted a 26m bid, upping it from 20 to 26 seems like we'll go much higher than 28m. I'd say 35-40m should be our max, he can be worth it, imo.Abramovich wrote:I think £28m or so should be limit, including bonuses etc.

Jose's latest words on transfers suggest we're only going to get a defender as long as no one leaves.
https://www.chelseafc.com/news/latest-news/2015/07/mourinho--settled-squad.htmlJose wrote:‘I am looking for a defender to finish the balance in our squad and after that we are ready to answer to anything that can happen with our players,’ he explained.
‘If one of our players wants to leave or we agree a deal for a player to leave we have to answer immediately because at this moment we have balance and quality in numbers. We cannot lose that balance.
‘To go to next season with basically the same squad that we had last season, when our direct competitors are investing a lot, is a big challenge. That’s something I understand and accept - it’s a compliment to us that the other teams are buying so much.
‘They will improve immediately with the new players, and for us there is only one way to improve, which is to work fantastically well and to improve what we have which is the same as last season.’
Slightly disappointing but I can understand what he is saying.

Re: The 2015 Summer Transfer Rumour Thread
We may have to pay 34m for Stones.
It also looks like we're selling Filipe Luis back to Atletico. For pretty much the same price as we bought him for. Real shame, really. I would like some experienced back ups but it looks like we'll get Baba Rahman and John Stones.
