chad4401 wrote:ok fair enough devi, this might be somewhat irrelevant but have you ever seen benzema at lyon? he is capable but this is cr team and he clearly plays for him tbh, i so won't agree with the lack of killer instinct, his finishing is better than average as well, i feel that he was more or less forced into the play making role
if the team went along with the 442 for the majority of the season he would have shown much more class and killer instinct imo
Tbh few minutes not much.
I used to think that CR spends to many balls and he wants the team to play for him, I mean I saw him today getting angry at his players for shooting on goal and not passing to him when he was in not so good position. But still there's no better and hardworking professional out there...
It was just not meant to be today

Looool! Its surprising to see Real suffer See Casillas' throw nearing FT, wtf They must be exhausted and just too much pressure to cope with in the end. Italian teams proved again how they can hold on to a lead so called.
Neither teams were particularly impressive tbh.... I really feared Real may retain the trophy, but they are starting to have some problems it seems Again proving just how hard it is to retain this CL trophy.

Re: CL SF : Real Madrid Vs Juventus
First of all, huge congrats to Juventus.
Secondly, I used to rate Ancelotti very highly, but seeing how stupidly this Real Madrid side try to attack, I have to put on the brakes.
There seems to often be a massive empty hole in the central attacking midfield spot. The 4-3-3 is great for counter-attacking or some seriously dominating wing-play, but Real can't do the first thing and either can't or choose not to do the second thing. I thought Marcelo was Real's best and most creative player. Both Ronaldo and Bale go hug the opposition full-back or center-back. That's not how you can play the 4-3-3. If your forward line is going to play narrow and flat against the opposition defense line, you need someone in the number 10 spot to make plays and feed them with short & smart passes. But no one was playing in that position for Real, unless Isco or James occasionally drifted through. Very inefficient and stupid use of Real's resources.

Getting knocked out of the CL semi-finals by your own academy player: priceless

I think he should have played instead of Ramos or Varane...with his aggressive style of play he is a worthy successor for Pepe

Re: CL SF : Real Madrid Vs Juventus
Casillas foul throw has got to be one of the stupidest things done in a CL semi final second leg when you're about the be KO'd by a better team basically relieved all pressure and handed us the win.
They teach that shit at primary schools  but apparently not at Madrid.

I agree that neither team was impressive, but I think Juve did a very solid job, defensively. Considering Barcelona's form these days, Juventus will have to step their game up quite a few notches, otherwise.. well, you can probably figure out what will happen.
Hats off to Juve, if they manage to keep the final score fairly even, regardless of win or defeat. I don't want to discredit them, but I don't think any other teams right now are evenly matched against Barcelona based on current form. Beating Real Madrid over two legs sounds impressive on paper, but I think it's very safe to say that Barcelona is a far less forgiving team that, unlike Real Madrid, actually go into games looking like they have a plan.
