It is tbh, although the bandit camps are quite fun.

Luckily the human fights are quite infrequent.

BTW the Story is getting really, really good for me. Far in a way surpassed my expectations so far.

One thing I don't like about the combat is the general rng at play with the loot.

Trying to get a Snapmaw heart for this weapon I want and killed 3 of them.

Not one dropped the Heart lol.

After multiple attempts I finally beat him  Even the successful attempt took nearly 15 *bleep* minutes lmao.

The feeling when he died was so *bleep* good, can't remember the last time I had that feeling of satisfaction in a game.

Doing that on very hard rofl I'm OK mate.

should I be keeping all of my resources or are some good to sell?

also have you worked out the ropecaster yet? been trying to do the tutorial quest for the XP and I've tied down/stopped a bunch of machines from moving but it never counts as one of the three needed, guessing I'm doing something wrong

LMAO.

It's really hard for me even on normal against the bigger machines though.

Also no, save up IMO. In terms of weapons they don't do much difference from a pure raw power until later on. You can easily get by with default stuff until you need elemental type stuff.

As for selling stuff, the merchants usually say on the side what each thing is used for. But keep in mind the better shit requires Lens and Hearts from certain machines to trade for.

You can always do this thing called "Create Job" Which creates a fetch quest for certain loot if you need anything inparticular.

Firenze should put it back on Normal until you start getting your ass kicked imo.

I was in the same position as you, barely dieing but when the game opened up it got insanely dangerous just to explore lol.

And some of the stuff in the main quest were a pain in the ass even on normal, it's been a really challenging game for me ever since i left the initial area.

You'll probably feel like dropping it back down but for now man up imo.

had the game 4 days not even done the proving? you won't finish this game for 3 months

I keep getting overwhelmed like in TW3, just walking to a quest opens up 5 more things I find to do

You ain't done shit yet mate Laughing Sawtooth's are the toughest enemy at that point and quite frankly i laugh at them now.

I wasn't getting challenged at that point either but when the game opens it up it gets really challenging.

I mean i posted earlier about a fight which even after multiple attempts and knowing what i had to do it still took me 15 *bleep* minutes to do.

Just exploring is really challenging, there's machines all over the *bleep* place.

It actually feels like a threatening place to be in, i haven't played an open world game like it. I'll be disappointed in my skill level if you find it easy. Laughing

I've finished the proving and completed every side quest up until this point in the game. Started playing the game on thursday night. How have you not progressed any further, RG? Razz

Doing the proving right now. Unreal change of events.

Level 10 but haven't used any points yet on the skill tree.

I have actually explored more than i usually do in these games.

I'm level 30 due to constant obsession with killing everything in sight and main quest stuff is like 19 looool, luckily the contents of those level 19 quests are actually closer to 30 most of the time.

It isn't like Witcher 3 where very rarely did you find things above the level of the quest.

Also i'm finding that the level doesn't mean all that much here tbh, all it really does is increase your health and give you skill points.

You still take ridiculous amount of damage.

I'm lvl 16 I think, mostly explored and done all sidequests, just got to the next decent sized settlement after Proving although I'm only there to do sidequests. Hope there are a lot of secrets in the game that reward exploring. Also bought the item maps early on so I see the map littered with stuff to do. Also think I see the bird you were talking about earlier unless that was a mission. I see a bird machine icon in the corner of the map, might go there later for banter

Did you get the Cauldron quest when you left? you should do that as i think you get the first one when you find the first real settlement.

Goes for everyone here as well, they shouldn't be missed. I know i keep bringing it up but i want to discuss it with people Laughing
