Re: The Bundesliga Thread
HT BVB 3:0 BMG.
And now Favre needs to take out the hairdryer treatment and tell them what he thinks of this lazy performance of his boys.

I guess BMG will take time to adjust. They are missing their CBs and obviously Kramer who is gone now

Re: The Bundesliga Thread
That was like watching Dortmund of old, if they can keep Reus fit then they will easily finish in the champions league spot.

It's not even like that IMO, they are a lot more controlled and picking their moments a lot more. Klopp's Dortmund were not as efficient when it come to the build up play.
They are a lot more controlled, which will mean more long term success although they probably won't be explosive as Klopp's early years.

Reus with the 4:0

Re: The Bundesliga Thread
They are actually creating chances from open play. That naturally makes them look like the Dortmund.
Credit to Tuchel for making the best out of Mkhitaryan.

Re: The Bundesliga Thread
Why are BMG keeping that highline against Auba and Reus?
Ridiculous decision by the manager.

Re: The Bundesliga Thread
It's not that high tbh.
Just Dortmund are pulling it around which creates space, need to be more disciplined rather the distance of the line from the keeper.

Re: The Bundesliga Thread
Maybe Lucien Favre was fed up with being asked whether he was a Bayern hunter and whether Gladbach could win the Bundesliga. So he set up a cracking defeat so that he can work quietly again without all the media harassing him all the time?

Re: The Bundesliga Thread
Dortmund in the Westfalenstadion are the ultimate bogey opponent of Gladbach. Last season it only ended 1:0 because Dortmund squandered at least a dozen chances.

Interestingly in this pairing it is extremely rare that the away team wins. Here are the last 5 years:

Mercifully, the ref ends the match without injury time.

Re: The Bundesliga Thread
The relentless pressing of old is still there, they forced a lot of turn overs and never allowed to build from the back or play inside their half.Great Leader Sprucenuce wrote:It's not even like that IMO, they are a lot more controlled and picking their moments a lot more.
