just keep in mind the meltdown came right after the Grenier injury... he was the unquestioned leader and most popular player among the youth team players and since they're all youth team players... this was supposed to be his season back after a ton of injuries. When he went down, you could see Lyon just drop intensity as if stunned. They conceded 4 goals in 10 mins right after the incident.

They probably would have reacted better if this was a competitive game. But since it's not, they let the event distract them completely.

Feel bad for the kid... seems like a hip problem and those never heal quickly.

On the Lyon side, I wish someone would tell the backline that when the opponent has time on the ball you might want to drop 10m and protect against the ball over the top.

Doubt Ozil will ever be a goalscorer tbh. Still has solid 8-10 goals a season. He has the technique n ability to do it but always seems awkward when it comes to finishing.

But yeah Ozil, just needs to make a decision and do it. Likes to dally around and look for perfection. But your right, of course he wont ever be a goalscorer but thats okay considering the other things he does obviously.

Santi is absurd. He takes two footed to another level.

I cant think of another player ever, that was so two footed they took corners and free kicks with the foot which suited the angle better.

Yeah but thats not quite the same as taking set peices with whatever foot he wanted. Its also debatable weather he preferred left foot in open play or was just equally as comfortable and its naturally a defenders instinct not to let someone shoot with their right foot.
