Re: GL Fantasy Football: 15/16 Season
In this thread are allowed only discussions about the h2h competition? Or can I post here my fantasy team even if I don't want to participate in the h2h?

I prefer Shitback for the 1st matchday than Brunt. Berahino to replace Janmaat in the future.

Re: GL Fantasy Football: 15/16 Season
Can't see why no one would snap up Cech or Courtois or maybe De Gea as well (still uncertainty over his future) when all goalies are the same price basically.
EDIT: it wasn't like this in previous years, as I always remember making the sacrifice of picking a shit goalie from the start to have more money for the rest of my team.

GKs are the same price? Nope, they aren't. And the small difference between prices sometimes can be a significant difference. There are many reasons why people wouldn't choose a GK like Cech, De Gea or Courtois.
Later Edit: In my opinion if you choose carefully, you can find other GKs who can provide you a lot of points, GKs from mid-table teams. I didn't choose De Gea because I really wanted to have Darmian, Mata and Rooney in my team. Also I prefer to add 0.5 to my reserve strikers, or to a midfielder ( I bought Silva).

Re: GL Fantasy Football: 15/16 Season
Question: Right now I have a 3-5-2 with my first sub being a 5.5 striker and 2 4.0 CBs. I also have 0.5 in the bank. This means I effectively have 1.5m in unused first team, since I could switch the striker for a 4.5 one. Would you guys be fine with that or would you switch the striker for a 4.5 one, invest in a 4.5 CB as first sub, and invest the remaining 1m?

Re: GL Fantasy Football: 15/16 Season
Why not get a 6m striker on the bench instead?

No?
I think I saw all the good to decent goalies at 5.5/5.0
I know you adrressed the 0.5 issue in your post, but that's not such a big difference. GKs like Cech and Courtois can quickly make up that 0.5 and then you can invest in reserve strikers, etc.
Point is, all those GKs at 5.5 just seem like a good deal for me.

Re: GL Fantasy Football: 15/16 Season
Personally, I try to get the cheapest bench possible and have the strongest starting 11 that I can. I'm not really a fan of rotating players (specially non defenders). But that's just me though.
I don't think it's been established which is better.

Both have pros and cons.
If you have 2 big injuries and all scrubs on the bench then you are in trouble

Your first sub should be someone half-decent who plays for the lower-table sides, imo.

Why is there a poverty league fan shouting about in this thread, as if they could afford half a team in the Premier League fantasy smh.

Re: GL Fantasy Football: 15/16 Season
Brah we spent more than you this summer Though tbh Galliani would try his hardest to get some Bosmans and loan with option to buy if he played FPL.
EDIT: VAGI. Forgot about Firmino transfer.

Re: GL Fantasy Football: 15/16 Season
Sanchez not being available to start the season really has prevented from doing for what i want do, the money i would be saving from not having Hazard allows me to have a much stronger team overall without him.
I'm happy with what i have to start the season with, but unless things go really badly i expect my idea for a post wildcard team after transfer window to be much better.

Re: GL Fantasy Football: 15/16 Season
So now with fantasy football season upon us this weekend, what are some of your goals/targets this season???
As some of you might have already guessed, doing the double over Mole will be main goal and priority (of course not even mentioning preventing relegation, that's like a no-brainer).
And I think a top 10 finish would be lovely, seeing as I just missed out last year.

I have a question for the admins. Is it mandatory that we use the new chips feature on Mole or is it just something that's highly encouraged?
