agree with S though, can't see any of the current top 4 bottling it..although you never know with spurs
guess we will at least take the EL seriously not that it will stop us from being smashed by one of the half dozen or so teams in it that are infinitely superior to us atm

Actually the link you posted, futbol, shows that DDG pulled off an amazing save. The angle at which the ball was launched couldn't have possibly made the ball hit his head, it would've been smashed directly into the top corner.
That was a godly reflex save.

If he doesn't save it with his hand and just stands there doing literally nothing it's going to hit his head and still not go into the net, that's how standard that save was.
There's nothing special about that agreed, but still you and Hans are both deluded with your opinion regarding De Gea tbh.
Either that or haters Pick one pls.
What's my, or futbol's, opinion about De Gea again? Enlighten me please.
I have said nothing, NOTHING whatsoever, about De Gea himself.
I've only said something about today's saves and mostly the way they are commented upon.
As I have in earlier times pointed out the uniqueness of many of his saves is exaggerated.
Saying a certain save is nothing special makes De Gea not in any way a worse GK.
Is that so hard to comprehend?
Of course he's an absolute top keeper. Wonderful player.
Still there's nothing he has achieved so far that provides grounds to rate him above Cech, Courtois, Buffon, Neuer. Or even Navas or Ter Stegen tbh. And why not Oblak lol?
That's the point. Standard saves in PL matches won't change that.

Except they don't, you are imagining things to drive home an agenda as Agent Futbol has teached you to do so.
No one actually things like that and bringing up Van Gaal doesn't prove anything as he's damaged mentally tbh.
We think he's a fantastic keeper, best in the league arguably who makes fantastic saves but no one actually overrates standard saves to make a point.
No more than any other keeper anyway, as overrating standard saves is an epidemic spread across football in general and has been for years.
De Gea doesn't get any sort of special treatment in that sense.

Are you serious lol? Did last season not happen where he was by far Unired's best player? Didn't his performances saving points this season not happen?
Oh wait or were they all standard saves any keeper could make?

Yeah, I haven't said anything bad about De Gea in general either. Just this weird fetish to paint every single save he makes as world class. Even freaking Red Cafe members notice it now:
http://www.redcafe.net/threads/david-de-gea-2015-16-performances.406643/page-20#post-18754844
I voted him man of the match, but these days every standard save he makes gets hailed as world-class...

Re: Barclay's Premier League '15-'16 discussion V9
People do that with every keeper though, he just makes more saves because Man Yoo can't defend.
When chat comes back i'll prove it to you people wank over any save which requires quick reactions no matter if it was straight at them or not.
It's something which is spread across football fans in general, De Gea isn't any different to any other keeper in that sense.
I remember calling RG out for doing it a month or so back

Is GK now rated bases on what their team won? What does achieved even mean.
And how is ter Stegen who is sub to real soceidad flop and who has been as error prone as its get even sneaked into your list of de gea level keepers.

None of these are standard keepers. Every one of these is a top keeper.
So of course, they make saves that are beyond standard, great, what have you.
De Gea is an absolutely fantastic young keeper.
It's just really weird the hype around him exceeds by far the hype made about every other young keeper, some of whom are fantastic also.
It's because Man Utd have such a central role in the collective imagination of the Premier League and everyone covering it.
He had to be instant World Class because someone or something at Utd has to be, and noone else was coming remotely close.

Nah he's been on "holiday" and is back tomorrow.
Sorry to disappoint you that Barca causes that sort of fear in people

They were good saves. The one on Ivanovic especially. Fabregas' was a bit easier, imo.
But a fairly boring game in the end.

lel Bit rich coming from a Real Marketing fan.
Keylor Navas so irrelevant, he doesn't even fit into the GoalLegacy forum format.
Navas taking it between his legs and then going down on his knee to Suarez like a 5 dollar Thai hooker.
Mehdrid fans still talking.

Re: Barclay's Premier League '15-'16 discussion V9
Let's not get into quality of shots discussion bcz that will be very bad discussion for the soceidad flop who suddenly turns good when he is the least shot faced GK on earth.
Best young GK ter scrubgen benched by 33 year old soceidad flop .
Futbol tried to put down bravo in the beginning but since he has to make ter stegen look like a decent keeper he now choose the easy way of making bravo gawwwdd.
