Speaking of imports, i'm seriously considering getting an NA 3DS+FE Fates, i'm in that horny FE mood and the EU release is not until May 20th (Poor Jay)

I only import JP that has no chance of localization but this year, pretty much all major release get localized. Vita will have really strong year for JP game lover. As for FE, I finished the game and it's exhaused, playing through 3 games really took the exciment out of it. I would suggest if u are not hardcore fan, buy one of Birthright / Conquest and download Revelation.

Birthright £35 and Conquest £40 on Amazon. Didn't think 3DS titles would start going for £40 now.

Read somewhere that you can install homebrew software to run games from other regions, though i don't know what implications that might have

Ok this is pretty big.

Cross-Network Play
First, in addition to natively supporting cross-platform play between Xbox One and Windows 10 games that use Xbox Live, we’re enabling developers to support cross-network play as well. This means players on Xbox One and Windows 10 using Xbox Live will be able to play with players on different online multiplayer networks – including other console and PC networks.

Of course, it’s up to game developers to support this feature, and Xbox Live players will always have the option of choosing to play only with other Xbox Live players. We’re thrilled to confirm that Psyonix’s Rocket League will be one of the first games to take advantage of this new capability by enabling cross-network play between Xbox One and PC players, with an open invitation for other networks to participate as well.

Obviously PSN would have to allow the same feature for it to work between the two consoles, but it's pretty amazing this is happening and i for one never thought they would ever do it.

Edit: Apparently Sony already do this ( at least between PC) and their stance is it's up to the developers so there's no reason why it won't happen.

Hope the delay is due to Euro having different team handle localization. NA localization is completely dogshat, it hurts players brain to buy into some of their completely altered characters & arc stories.

It's not Sony enabling the crossplay between PC and PS4 Rocket League - it's Psyonix (You can't even link your Rocket League/Psyonix account with your PS4 account). There's nothing Sony can do about it really apart from outright not allowing a 7 figure revenue indie game on their platorm. The only way to play with a friend on PS4 is to create a custom game. There's no way to send that data to a Steam user because Sony's system does not know Steam exists, much less who your friends are on it.
The only way to do cross-platform parties is to have your own independent friends list and party system backend that handles it all separately from Sony/Steam/etc. Unfortunately this is a big system and as an indie developer we have to pick our battles on what we spend our time and resources on. We weren't even sure cross-play would be approved until very recently, so it would have been a bad decision to invest heavily in a multiplatform party system only to be told it wasn't approved. It would also be an additional risk at launch for us because if our party servers couldn't handle the load, it could break everyone's ability to party up and play together, not just cross-platform, whereas relying on Sony and Steam services is a much safer and more reliable choice.
We realize that it's still disappointing and are looking into workarounds as well as considering whether we can take on a full party/friends system overhaul to allow cross-plat partying.

Hopefully they're confident enough to invest in a true cross-play experience and not the severely limited one we have now.

There's only one platform missing this game now and Nintendo would be stupid not to support any Rocket League development for NX - the game itself is literally right up Nintendos alley and can you imagine the popularity of the Nintendo related DLC?

yeah

i was reading an article on neogaf a few days ago and people that work at ubisoft said that internally they now discuss the company and it's work as before the division and after the division (BD/AD) on memo's and at meetings, it's going to be huge for them, which is a good thing I guess since they want to slow up on the AC releases.

I think it's a very good game and has a lot of room for improvement so it could easily be a great franchise imo

Oh was gonna say, i'm not surprised it's being marketed heavily and it seems extremely similar to Destiny so the sales were obviously going to be there.

I'm not interested personally but i'm happy that it's not a flop.

Just seen a screen of the announcement about Last Guardian, they are claiming Horizon is definitely 2016 as well.

Hope to *bleep* it doesn't get delayed, desperately need an action RPG in 2nd half of the year otherwise i'll probably still be playing Witcher 3 in December Laughing
