Can't see Pep going for Alves as he was the one who wanted to offload him back in 2012. City will go for Fabinho or stick to zabaleta who's good. There are other positions that need massive reinforcements

Realistically Gundogan and Thiago are easily possible. In fact Gundogan to city is a done deal according to some sources.
Pogba will be hard. But if Pep wants him then can see it happening for something like 80 mil. Hopefully Real/Barca will also be interested and come for him if he is for sale.

And if it is not Gaya then it could be Rodriguez. One of them WILL end up at city. Probably not in this window as Kolarov is a decent fb and they might just decide to prioritize midfield this window as thats the area they need strengthening the most.

I'm with mole on this, Pogba is like 12 years old and only had half a bad game, that f*cker is golden, would definitely buy.
But just because you can afford a player it doesn't mean they want to come. Just look at Sahin or Kagawa how badly a kneejerk transfer can end up for all parties involved.

I need to start watching Pogba more. I've watched him a few times in big European games and he's certainly not lived up to the hype. He seems like an ordinary midfielder with decent to good dribbling skills.

its the era we live in, there's so much money in football now that even looking back 5 years ago for reference in fees is redundant

One thing I don't see any Man City transfer rumour taking to account is the home grown rule. You can have a maximum of 17 non-home-grown players + as many under 21-year-olds as you want. City currently have that number to maximum, 17 senior "overseas" players and just five home growns. They have a whole lot of wheeling and dealing to do if they want to sign more than a couple overseas players.

I think Gundogan and Gaya will end up at City, both are reasonable and attainable. Not sure about Pogba though, that one would be tricky and City would have to offload some dead weight before that move happens
