Next years our year
We'll start shaky / players will iniatially struggle under a pre-season with Klopp but feeling optimistic.
United, City and Chelsea all have new managers.
Arsenal will bottle it as usual.
We actually have someone competent in charge for once.
From all reports we've thrown everything at Gotze and Mario “needs a coach who desperately wants him in his team Low added."
It's happening.
Also wtf has happened to this section. It's become a graveyard ffs. Get your shit together lads.

Re: Next years our year
Let me be the first to reply in this dead section in this dead forum that no. I'm expecting a similar season to this one. There just ultimately are no signs that we'd beat our competition. Klopp has showed some good signs, but hasn't been a rainmaker, while our best players seem to either have reached their ceiling too early or can't be the difference makers.

The transfer window rumors are disappointing me. With the likes of Mane as our main targets and with the idea that we're still going with Hendo-Can midfield is all too underwhelming. Our starting XI is BADLY in need of some actual quality.

Re: Next years our year
Not happy with Gotze the judas ####.
Apparently everything was agreed (between player / clubs /everything) until he pulled out in the last second. Then threw his agent away as if he was a used condom. &(!^#!(!#*(
Shame.
watch him sign for us tomorrow then
Can easily see a top 4 + a trophy next season as a minimum tbh.
He'll finally have a pre-season and won't be rushed into match decisions / using matches as training.
Since he was in charge he had a game like every 3rd day. And he would of settled in England by now. lol
Are the Mane reports legit or are they bullshit recycled rumours of us having a certain Brenton in charge?
Anyway, Klopp can see talent. Look at his transfer history at Dortmund. He doesn't buy stars, he makes them. So whoever he buys I'm happy.
Anything beats spending 100m+ on Benteke, Balotelli, Banana, Moreno and Lovren.
And from all reports we're looking at midfielders, don't stress little one. We have a god amongst men in charge.

Re: Next years our year
A bit ambitious, IMO.
Leicester won the League with a mediocre squad and unbridled diligence & unwavering attitude. So us with a better squad, a shrewd manager, unbridled diligence and unwavering attitude should do it as well.
We do stand a chance. Some prudent signing for key positions, and we can be in for the long haul. Not sure in what physical and mental state the players will be. A exhausting season followed by the Euro & Copa and two Cup loses will be a drain. Not to mention Kloop do need to sort our (still) perforating defense and willingness to let games slip away.
While wining the League would be awesome, I would content with a CL place and two Cups at the season's end.

Leicester would not have won the title had Pep already been City manager.
You do not stand a chance to win the league, noone but City does, and shouldn't base your emotional well being on this target.
Set other goals for your season.

I hope by next year you mean the 17/18 season as the 16/17 one is doing to be a hell of a tough year and we will be lucky to take one of the top 4 spaces.

Re: Next years our year
I am just hoping that somehow our attack cliks on all fronts and we gain points at the start of the season with the help of attack. Because I am sure, during the season, EPL teams will figure out how to cope with our front 4 players.
And later on I hope slowly Klopp can sort out our defense. If we want to achieve anything tangible in this season, we need our defense to be at least decent. In preseason, we have kept enough clean sheets but I wouldnt give so much importance to them. Against Barca we were lucky not to concede.

You should have been here around Rodgers era
Everyone attitude was way worse than yours. We were just collectively having a depressing circle jerk about life and why miserably shit always happened to us.

That was me using my dry sense of humor but I guess it is hard to get that across when you've made about 10 posts on a new place

Tis is true.
Just making sure you don't become a sheep and agree with whatever is said, would much prefer you have your own opinions and who cares what the others think.

I like LoveSlut. Promising bunch of posts. Any friend of Unique is a friend to me, I think.
----
OT: Title would be an overachievement, but I do tip you lads to do well this season. Top 4 is not unreasonable, for the same reason as Arsenal - continuity in the manager and squad chemistry.
City, Chelsea, United will take a bit of time to get going. I especially think that to be the likely scenario for the first two. They should start clicking fully by October.
Leicester and Spurs also have the same advantage, but not a comparable squad. West Ham are also gonna be in that mix this year, pretty sure of Bilic's capabilities by now.
Your first few fixtures are a mess. Arsenal (A) and Spurs (A) in Aug, Leicester (H) and Chelsea (A) in September, United (H) in October - all that in your first 8 fixtures smh.
Also, your first PL game at Anfield is 10 September?!
Get through that period with a reasonably good tally and then you will have your chances to ramp it up over the other 30 games. Lose a bunch of these games and you'll have a hard game of catch up all season.

Sri mate, in past few seasons, whenever we say 'if we get through this time period, .... '. The funny thing is, we always manage to do brilliant under pressure and gather massive points and then comes a point where we do self destruct ourselves, that too by dropping points in silly ways. So the point will be, if we can sustain after that difficult fixture list.

Re: Next years our year
That's true Heil.
For me the actual test will after the first 5 matches. we have an easier run after this and history proves we choke in those games. I'm hoping our offensive power is too great this year for shitty teams to get points from us.
