I think the question can be rephrased to who will win if they both face each other in some stage. As far as getting far its highly dependent on luck.

This is why I put Napoli out of the top 4 in the predictions thread.

Meh still 2nd favourites for me, 3rd wouldn't surprise me either I guess but Roma lost a key player too. Milan clubs aren't worth discussing and Fiorentina and Lazio are champions at slightly regressing every single year.

I wouldn't go that far, they have a very good team still. Insigne, Gabbiadini, Milik, Calejon, Mertens... it's a very solid attack.

The midfield and defense are also quite good.

Manager too, they're just slightly provincial.

Roma could leapfrog them, but seeing Napoli drop further than 3rd would be surprising, especially consider how bad Inter and AC Milan are looking- but I would prefer either to be third as these are the clubs Italy needs to return to power

Napoli will still have 65m to invest if they do sign Milik. With some restructuring they might end up a better team after all.

I really don't think they were lacking funds in any case, they just lack the appeal of a big club.

I don't trust crappoli to be sensible in the market but unless they're really stupid they should have a top 3 worthy team for the next few years easily.

Napoli have generally been very good with their transfer moves over the past few years. They've found some excellent deals. Problem is ADL doesnt just give that extra push to fight for big honors hence you see top players wanting out.
