Thank you Harmonica for all the gifs, wonderful to watch as usual Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

I seriously doubt any play in history did or can do what hes doing for so many years, therefore he must be the best in history. Not to start the arguments again, but really, has anyone ever done all these Messis doing? Smile

GOAT is gonna GOAT.

I was actually rooting for Barca to come back from the 4-0 deficit. Main reason being couldn't stand having CR fraud his way into another worthless underserved Balon D'or because Messi wouldn't get out of the first round.

Lol there's no way Ronaldo is gonna win the BdO this season if he continues like this regardless of what Messi does.

You underestimate the power of the media and manufactured superstardom.

legendary performance worthy of the GOAT.

was the catalyst for the greatest comeback of all time.

PSG were so scared of him their tactics were to put 6 men on him at all times. messi happliy absorbed the attention and didn't bother to try and get rid of his men by changing position or anything.

this therefore allowed plenty of space for the others to attack.

Nah BdO is back to the old voting system AND Ronaldo is getting outscored by random top strikers despite boosting his stats with tons of pens and the CWC.
Hype can do a lot but at some point it's too much.

Only hype when CR wins it. Carry on, he's 32 and haters still find a way to hate.

Messi got boxed by the whole psg team. It looked like a ring of players literally went for him every time he had the ball. that only works when you have fabregas, pedro, and sanchez (barca version) on your team

despite that I thought he was great. you cant beat one touch through passing or link up play. He's pretty much unstoppable if you think about it unless hes having a rare off day

Unai Emery has never beat Messi, not with Almeria, Valencia, Spartak Moscow, Sevilla in 20 games, nor now with PSG in CL R16 tie. #boogieman

ronaldo goes into balon d'or mode in october/november his form and stats now will be forgotten by the voters anyways.
all he needs is one of la liga or cl... and win the confederate cup and he's already a favorite. if he scores several hat tricks before the voting process it's as good as his

cause it's never happened before. he's shit and always will be.

he didn't even deserve his man utd ballon d'or. only won it cause man utd had a better season than barca.

ronaldo has never won a ballon deserved balllon d'or. it's all come from being carried in team trophies whist contributing nothing, scoring penalties and tap ins against bad opposition, media whoring, luck of messi being injured, and corruption of extending the voting timeline so it would suit him.

Can't see, I don't read Real Madrid mouthpiece media anymore.

Ricardo Bochini - "For Messi, there is something which is not helping him and that's the coaches of Argentina."

"Messi is alone up front, waiting for the ball (in Argentina NT). He doesn't have anybody to open up the pitch."

"Messi is well assisted (at Barcelona) and poorly assisted (at Argentina)"

"There is no other reason (for the difference in performances)"

That he's helped less with Argentina is fairly obvious, but I hope people would actually understand that Messi actually has performed better with Argentina individually than with Barcelona. I mean he would have more major NT-titles than CL's during this time, if Higuain finished two 1on1's and a tap-in.

Messi World Cup/Copa America 09-16
96% games (27/28)
68% win (19-3-5)
78% involved team goals (40/51 10+15+15)
7.0 players beaten per match
60% finals (3/5)

Messi Champions League 09-16
89% games (73/82)
62% win (45-17-11)
64% involved team goals (114/177 66+23+25)
4.9 players beaten per match
29% finals (2/7)

Argentina with Messi in WCQ18 15 points in 6 games, without 7 points in 7 games.  Suspect

Messi could miss 2-4 games for insulting the ref vs Chile. Suddenly very scared for Argentina's qualifying chances.

I guess the ban wouldn't include tonight's game right? I don't think Argentina will beat Bolivia (you there @RealGunner ? multiply those houses).

Chile will surely beat Venezuela and Ecuador may beat Colombia so it could get really tight today.

It remains undecided. He could not play vs Bolivia. Time for Dybala to step it up.

I'm not sure Dybala will start, he is recovering from an injury.

Looking at the calendar, the last game Ecuador-Argentina could be amazing. Very real possibility that the match could determine who qualifies.
