the english media really is disgusting. how can they morally do this to this man? all for the sales. they should report this to the authorities and not like this. big sam might not be the best manager in the world, but this was all he ever wanted. you cant pay any manager enough money, to make someone SO dedicated as he would be. such a loss for the NT. everyone knows shady stuff happens: where people work there are rules and there is greed. just dont bring it all on 1 guy like this, for operating like everyone operates in this world.

when a club wants to sign a player, they really do everything they can to make the agent as happy as possible, to not make him talk to any other teams. luxury dinners, woman. people really take them out. and for this exclusivity they make the fees higher so the agents gets a bigger cut. all for the sake of signing a player. people from the club actually take the guy and his entourage out on clubbing. its bribing. we all do it

this really is the world of agents, third ownership companys and shady investments companies. its the way it works now. especially with young talents. they are surrounded by hyenas. every manager has to deal with these people. they know how it works. they are all guilty of it.

You might want to educate yourself lol.
Also no one is bringing it all on one guy, as the Telegraph said they have found 10 guilty managers it's just not been made public with names yet.
When this is done Sam won't be alone.

Re: Scandal in English Football: Big Sam n co convicted
literally impossible for them to keep him on when he's caught on video talking about how it's easy to circumvent the laws of his employers, really no other outcome
he's a scrub anyway that would keep english football stagnant, good riddance IMO

The Telegraph originally were investigating corruption and bungs involving agents and managers and Allardyce was unfortunate collateral in that. He was NOT targeted by anyone. He's part of a wider problem in English football.
Unfortunately for him he was caught on camera so his position became untenable. Whereas the other managers can likely keep their names out the papers on some form of legal technacailty.

Re: Scandal in English Football: Big Sam n co convicted
People are actually criticizing the media for "doing this to a man"??? Are you people insane?????
I know investigative reporting has all but disappeared... but it's one of the most important players in a democracy. Without it, Nixon would never have been caught spying leading to his impeachment. Countless presidential candidates would have gotten away with lies and deceit in the United States... but didn't because journalists didn't allow them to.
You see, there's a standard that the police has to use before it can do their job. In the US, it's called probable cause. In many many instances, the media has found probable cause using methods unavailable to the police where none would have existed otherwise.
Even in the UK... during the height of hooliganism... the way the police finally dismantled its most violent organizer was the media. That's right. A reporter posed as a hooligan and went undercover. He filmed and recorded everything and he got very close. That allowed the police to jump in.
So yeah... Sam had it coming and so will anyone else involved. Bravo to the Telegraph, one of the last true media that does proper investigative reporting. I hope they always keep it up. Society needs them.

Those eight names are only rumoured btw. As in, someone took them from a comments section on a newspaper site
The Telegraph exposed Southampton's assistant manager Eric Black tonight.
