Re: The new king of football - Kylian Mbappe
Does Mbappe still have access to his basic human rights? Seems too quiet and docile re wanting to join Madrid (if he really wants to), like he's scared of pissing PSG off and has no leverage.

He's being a professional which is absolutely commendable. The man has a contract, a very good one if I may add and it's currently on its final year with the chance of renewing or exploring his options.

Re: The new king of football - Kylian Mbappe
So entering the last of of transfers... cant help but feel these are all just rumours baked up by the press... if Flo does manage to raise the insane amounts of money again to make another galaticos signing then props to him, but it just seems too crazy still today, after covid, the Super League, etc., if anyone would do something like this it would be Flo Dont think it would happen and certainly hope it wont since Real would walk the league with Mbappe, and MNM would been just a could-be history, what a shame.

Re: The new king of football - Kylian Mbappe
Really excited with the prospect of mbappe coming this season, kinda insane for psg to pass on the money though its no big deal for them, just bad business from their side imo, sure if it would dampen the messi transfer alot but this saga alone did damage anyway, at least the club is leading for his signature by January, getting him for free is ideal imo canceled out hazard transfer losses.
If Flo pulls off the big transfers again next season, cement his place as the greatest madrid president of all time.

Madrid have submitted an offer of €220 millions for Mbappé
Re: The new king of football - Kylian Mbappe
If PSG keep mbappe and win the CL with him Neymar and messi (hypothetically), these 200m are nothing to the sheiks, the trophy would be worth a tenfold more for them

Re: The new king of football - Kylian Mbappe
Madrid's insistence to sign him now and PSG's utter refusal can only mean two things:
1. Madrid are so afraid to wait until next summer because they think something will definitely change and make his signing way more difficult, if not impossible.
2. PSG are convinced they can make him renew.
Either way, I don't understand why Madrid waited until the last week of the transfer window to contact PSG. A transfer of this magnitude requires working day and night throughout the summer to try and convince PSG to let him go, and even then it might not suffice. So why did they wait this long? And why were they willing to drop 200m now instead of waiting until next year? Who's the monster they're so afraid of that will appear next summer?

True, there's no way of knowing when first talks begun. Still we know when the first official offer came on PSG's desks and that was late into the transfer window.

4 months is a long time. As Sports said Mbappe can change his mind and renew. Looks like it won't happen this summer

PSG don't even bother answering anymore
Real Madrid have submitted a new official bid today morning for Kylian Mbappé. €200m on the table as @jpedrerol & @jfelixdiaz reported. It’s €200m guaranteed for PSG. NO answer, so NO intention to sell. #Mbappé #RealMadrid

Re: The new king of football - Kylian Mbappe
To DoC's point... you make these offers early on so that PSG has a chance to find a suitable replacement, which also takes time to line up.
That's was Leonardo's point about Madrid being "disrespectful" with the timing of their offer... not the fact that they offered.
That's why there's a lot of talk about Madrid doing this for posturing and show as opposed to really wanting the deal to come through. You don't get something like this done in 10 days.

Re: The new king of football - Kylian Mbappe
Making the offer early on to give them time to find a suitable replacement is a valid point indeed.
But sports, let's assume that Madrid is just doing this for the show, what's in it for them? What will they gain from making offers knowing fully well they will be rejected? What's the catch here?

Re: The new king of football - Kylian Mbappe
1- Mbappe was getting a lot of pressure in France and from PSG. This deflected that pressure and criticism. Mbappe's professionalism shined and the narrative is gone.
2- Madrid shows the world that they have 200 million to spend in cash. The reports of their financial demise is overstated.
3- Keeps Madrid relevant in a positive way for the club. Other than the ESL failure, there was no other media re Real Madrid.
4- Lets Mbappe know that Real Madrid is going to do everything to sign him and support him.
A lof of good came out of this for Real Madrid imo. For PSG, the same. PSG were able to show that they cannot be bullied by anyone.

Re: The new king of football - Kylian Mbappe
All valid points, except for the first one. I think by refusing Madrid's generous offers, PSG know that they can't blame Mbappé if he walked for free next year. They will pile up the pressure on him to renew and their fans will give him hell if he doesn't renew come January.
You know as well as I do how hostile they can be. Imagine how they will treat him week in and week out if we reach February or March and he still hasn't renewed.

Re: The new king of football - Kylian Mbappe
According to Le Parisien, Mbappé has rejected a new €45M-a-year contract renewal offer from PSG. The offer would have made him the club's highest paid player.

Re: The new king of football - Kylian Mbappe
That just affirms his mind and heart is set on Real Madrid. I'm fully confident once Janaury 1st hits we will be on the plane to Mbappe and his agent and will sign him. He'll be at the Bernabeu July 1st.
He wants a huge signing on bonus we will give it. No problem.

Re: The new king of football - Kylian Mbappe
That's not all the Le Parisien article said. Here's the link: https://www.leparisien.fr/sports/football/psg/le-psg-espere-toujours-prolonger-kylian-mbappe-malgre-deux-offres-de-contrat-refusees-31-08-2021-BFERJXFC6NHEVOKDLES2DEFYGU.php
It's stating that PSG wants to try and resign him again. They've already made two offers and he's refused them. The last one he refused was €45M-a-year (about a month ago).
The last offer that PSG is going to make will be similar in terms of wages... i.e. €45M-a-year... but with an astronomical signing bonus. The signing bonus number will be an amount never seen in the history of football, per the article.
It's coming in the next couple of months.

Re: The new king of football - Kylian Mbappe
The longer he waits to accept the money thrown at him the more likely he'll be called a pestero the moment he signs on the dotted line
I think for his own good he should just send a parrot to Nasir and Leonardo that repeats the word no on a loop

Re: The new king of football - Kylian Mbappe
Nobody can say no to 45 million a year + 200-250 million signing bonus. That's what they are rumored to offer him in the next month or two.
We shall see. I don't think he can refuse that.

Re: The new king of football - Kylian Mbappe
So UEFA won’t bet an eye at a club refusing >200ME for a player that clearly stated that he wants to leave and whose contract is expiring at the end of the season ? How will they feint a loss like that next season when he’s supposed to leave for free ?
Some reports also state that PSG had 170ME to cover in order to be in line FFP, and that before Messi’s transfer (God knows what’s the signing bonus and agent fee). Where does the money come from ?
And of course, today they announced another ~50ME transfer

All that and they want to offer Mbappe more than 200 million signing on fee?

I'll take my L like a man but I'll go out of a limp and say he is probably done with PSG and would have no issues letting his contract run down.
