I understand what you guys are getting at with this achievement, but 87 points in 38 games mean nothing if we're not winning silverware. It's really that simple.

If we happen to win the Coppa Italia, EL or Scudetto (all of which are unlikely), then maybe I'll see this in a more positive light.

It's "un cavaliere non lascia mai la sua signora"

I guess you can add the vero (true) for some additional emphasis. hmm

Yea, he really valued those who stayed with him in 2006-2007. The first thing he did after the 11-12 Scudetto was writing a letter on his site thanking the whole roster of that season. ADP is class Molenation

it seems all but done that Iturbe will join Torino on loan from Roma and that future flop Gagliardini might join Inter.

I'm pretty sure he was just joking. Gagliardini looks like a stud in the making. At least he is Italian so I can cheer for him when he plays for La Nazionale.

You guys just better hope he is not Ranocchia 2.0...

Not quite, but he's very close. He's played with the Primavera and has made the bench for the last few games. The expectation is that he'll make his return in our next Coppa Italia match.

Marotta denies that Dybala will leave for Madrid and claims the contract renewal is on track. But, I see that Barca as also thrown in a bid which Juve rejected. Barca is expected to sweeten the deal shortly.

Dybala is the man around whom we are building our new team. Juventus is at the end of a cycle and by 2018 a new era will begin for us. Dybala is expected to be the pillar of the new Juve.

The longest part of the process is convincing him to stay until the end of his contract, so that he don't extend only to be sold next summer at higher cost.
Negociations are slow because we have only two options: sell him OR give him the salary he wants. Selling him would weaken us way too much, and you can be god damn sure a smart man like Marotta knows that. Giving him the paycheck he deserves is the only thing that makes sense, so that's why Barcelona will have no choice but to go screw themselves imo.

Serie A restarts this weekend with lots of good games but with everybody getting wrecked by the AFCON

Napoli-Samp on saturday

Koulibaly and Ghoulam are in Africa, Albiol is suspended and Chiriches is recovering from a knock. A game like this would have meant almost a sure loss for Napoli last season. Now they have Maksimovic-Tonelli to field in the center with Strinic playing as well. Pavoletti isn't ready so Mertens will take the CF role.

Samp has a full squad as far as I can tell.

Udinese-Inter on sunday

Inter recovers Mario and has Gagliardini. Should be Mario, Brozovic, Banega, Candreva, Perisic, Icardi starting. Udinese has found their feet and is on a good 4 game run. Could be a draw. An Inter win could see them in EL spots if Milan fail to win. They are now in a 3 game winning run with clean sheets.

Chievo-Atalanta

Atalanta are without Kessie (AFCON) and Gagliardini (sold to Inter) so this could be the end for them. Freuler should play, the other spot probably to Grassi. Nobody likes Chievo, this game will probably suck.

Genoa-Roma

Game of the round. Genoa are tough as hell at home. They've beat Juve, Milan and Fiore at the Marassi. Rincon and Pavoletti were sold, the first one will be a huge loss, the second they had already moved on for Simeone (Cholo's son).

Roma are without Manolas and Vermaelen (of course he is injured). Fazio and Rudiger will start with Peres and Emerson. Salah is the AFCON and Iturbe was sold. El Sha and Perotti should play the wings.

Roma could really drop points depending on how Genoa play without Rincon. A loss/draw here shuld bring everyone even closer together around the CL spots.

Sassuolo-Torino

Serie A hipster game of the round! Torino score as many goals as Juve but concedes a bunch and still they haven't signed a proper CB but signed Iturbe. You can bet that Belotti will score. Sassuolo are starting to get players back and signed Aquilani. The return of the Sassuolo GOAT is upon us but he probably won't play until next week given how long his injury was. Expect a fun game.

------

The league is dangerously prepared for Milan so they will of course play a shit Cagliari and win. On the flip side, everybody's favorite, brave Juventus will fight it out with a Bologna coached by one of Calcio's great minds (Donadoni) and led by the Destroyer himself in an epic match to fend off the Milan onslaught.

Good stuff, Rincon.

With Salah out, this may even be a chance for Gerson to get more time as well. As long as we don't play Peres on the wing again....that was...hard to watch.
