@Firenze yes, Hamsik's legend at Napoli won't be rivaled by many players by the time he retires. We'vs tried to sign him, as have many others, but he always said he was staying and retiring there.

He is only like 10 goals away (or something like that) from Maradona's record.

(IIRC) He is the kind of guy that has actually been robbed for walking through the worse parts of Naples just to be in the town. I think he would go play street football with the city kids or something like that.

Yep. He keeps getting better too. This has been his best season so far. Best midfielder overall in Serie A this year imo. His combinations with Insigne and Mertens are beautiful.

right? i found a italian newspaper article that youngsters that are right now involved in italian football are worth more than 500 million and i believe it.

its very cool that lot of quality football is being played throughout and clubs taking step to insure young players get chance.

that is excluding some quality football played by italian clubs in general, so this really has been amazing season indeed

Papu Gomez in an interview said about Kessie

“I think they’ve sold him to Roma,”

“But he’ll stay with Atalanta for another year.”

Why would Roma sign another CM? hmm

If that is true then we'll definitely see Paredes leave but it kind of places Kessie in the same situation that Paredes faces currently, so maybe another midfielder could be on the way out.

I don't buy it myself. PDF or GTFO.

If it does happen though, then it's adios to Paredes and/or Manolas, no return for Pellegrini or he comes back and we send Grenier back to Lyon. Either way, this would cause a seismic shift in the team chemistry.

Arson attack on Pescara President

Pescara President Daniele Sebastiani vows “at the end of the year I’ll leave the club” after two of his cars were set on fire.

The Delfini are bottom of Serie A with just nine points, with their only win being a game which was awarded to them after Sassuolo fielded an ineligible player.

Il Centro reports that anger has boiled over to unacceptable levels, with an arson attack late last night.

At 03.30 local time last night, unidentified people set fire to two cars - a Smart car and an SUV - parked outside Sebastiani’s house.

A neighbour spotted the flames and called the fire brigade, who were able to put the fire out by 4.30.

There are security cameras outside the property, and the Pescara patron is expected at the police station later today to give a statement.

“I’m outraged,” Sebastiani fumed.

“At the end of the year I’ll leave the club.”

Ridiculous. But the worst thing he can do is leaving the club

Old man Palacio's movements>>>Icardis but his finishing tho Laughing I don't care about Gabigoal honestly. It was a mistake buying him when we reall needed fullbacks. What I hope to see is Pinamonti get the minutes as vice Icardi. He is touted as (one of) the best up coming italian striker and should get some minutes this year.

Playing a 17 year old player touted as the future or an old man who has 6 months left? I know who Pioli will chose

Roma-Fiore! should be an awesome, entertaining, match.

Salah, just back from the AFCON is not starting. Perotti is not at full fitness either. Obviously Florenzi and Vermaelen are injured.

Kalinic is out. Tatarusano is back so Sportiello goes to the bench. Saponara (new signing) is still not available, should be back in a game or two.

Roma: Szczesny; Manolas, Fazio, Rudiger; Bruno Peres, De Rossi, Strootman, Emerson; Nainggolan, El Shaarawy; Dzeko

Fiorentina: Tatarusanu; Sanchez, Gonzalo Rodriguez, Astori; Chiesa, Vecino, Badelj, Maxi Olivera; Bernardeschi, Borja Valero; Babacar

Roma have a 100% record at home so far, this will probably their toughest home game yet as they haven't hosted Juve or Napoli. They did dispatch Inter and Milan though.

Both teams have mirror systems (3-4-2-1)

Watch out for Chiesa-Bernardeschi at Fiore and Nainggolan-Dzeko at Roma. With some El Sha and Borja Valero in there.

Juve broke us also Brozovic, so we'll miss our main 3 goalscorers for next matches. It is going to be the most difficult Pioli period now.

Dzeko 1-0!

De Rossi with a perfect pass over the defense and Dzeko does well to control and finish.

Great match so far.

Borja is fairly consistent, he plays as he had been playing. Perhaps less dominant than before, but that also has to do with how the rest of the team is setup. He has less responsibilities in terms of running the midfield now.

He doesn't play LW. its a 3-4-2-1 where the "2" have somewhat free roles between the midfield and striker. He plays the same position as Nainggolan does at Roma, who also is pinned in that "2".

Kalinic
Valero-Bernardeschi

the width on the right side is given by Chiesa, and on the left side by Olivera (today).

Is there a rivalry Borja-Cabaye? hmm

No doubt Borja has been better all around than Cabaye though.
