That's a strange statement considering they absolutely battered Madrid tonight. If that's not Sevilla at their best that I'm looking forward to when they get better.

I should have put 'defensively.' I haven't seen Sevilla break down defensively like that in a while. Not to mention this from the offensive line of Morata who had the worst display I have ever seen from him, Mariano who made only his 3rd appearance and Asensio who again is still pretty raw of a player.

Sevilla will win this weekend, however that shouldn't give Barca fans any hope lol you guys are 8 points behind...

Following his comments made that Lionel Messi is not as good without some of his teammates, Barcelona have taken the action to sack Pere Gratacos from his post within the club.

A statement from the club explaining the dismissal reveals that the decision was made because Gratacos made a personal opinion that does that coincide with the club's line.

The same statement said that the decision was made by the Barcelona's Director of Professional Sports, Albert Soler, who from this moment assumes the position of Institutional Relations manager that Gratacos filled until now.

That is literally the pinnacle of player power. I don't think Totti had that at Roma and he was essentially King of Rome. Can't even criticize Messi, Harmonica eat your heart out.

Maybe he shouldn't have said this, especially while the club is trying to renew Messi. But sacking him seems a little bit extreme to me.

If you ask me, I think the whole thing is just a misunderstanding. I don't think he meant to belittle Messi or even criticize him. I think he just meant to say that Barcelona is not just about Messi, and that there are other great players who contribute to the team and help Messi shine even more.

I guess he wanted to say that Barcelona does not depend on Messi, but ended up coming across as critical of the Argentinean.

Still, he didn't deserve to be sacked for it.

You don't criticize the King whilst he is on his throne. Lionel Messi is the be all and end all for Barcelona at the moment, any criticism towards him from anyone that is employed with Barcelona is sacrilege.

Hell, fans of the club are usually ostracized when they do that even in a constructive way.

I forgive almost everything. But when you come up to me and tell me that Suarez is superior to R9, there's nothing much left to say really.
