Anyway, he hasn't surpassed messi (dont know why you suggest that tbh), but what he did confirm is that he is a genuine great and that he's a better leader and mentally tougher than messi could ever hope to be as seeing through out their careers ranging from the olympics final & shoot-out, confederations cup final (against spain), the WC 2nd round shoot-out game against chile and the game against psg.

God, even the balls to take the pen from messi at that stage in itself can only take some inhumane nerve.. The nerve of a legend.

Heroic performance but thats not enough to be put beside Messi in one sentence. He's got a long way to go.

Pepole need to stop this nonsense. Neymar will never be on Messi level. He simply is not as good a footballer. It's really simple. There is no area Neymar is superior to Messi in footballing are ability. All of Neymars best attributes are trumped by Messi's equivalent. All Neymar has over Messi is pace and he works harder defensively.

He is an incredibly talented player let's just leave it at that. Messi is on par with Di Stefano, Cruyff, Pele & Maradona. Neymar is simply not even close to being on that level of ability.

Actually it is one.
Which is very underrated.
And can win you huge champions league matches.
And Messi isn't even close.

No definitely not surpassed Messi of course, but Neymars the third best player for me for a long time already behind Messi and Ronaldo.

But as i always said Neymar is second best player in the world by a distance

Messi has brought Barca back from the dead countless times before. Neymar's single performance might have been the greatest clutch performance in CL history but let's not forget he's been having a pretty meh season overall (at least by his standards) asides that night.

If Ronaldo and Messi didn't exist, he'd prob win a Ballon d'Or next year or something.
