Nah, I love the game and I love my club. Despite my fatalistic snark, I still have a healthy dose of optimism overall. We're far better shape in general than we were 10 years ago. That's progress at least given we were then where Milan and Inter are now.

Plenty of reports that Verratti is our top target this summer, with links to that Jean Seri as well. Basically, it's pretty clear the club is also looking to strengthen the midfield. They want a forward to play the wings ala Dembelee or Deulofeu because as of now we have zero back up options that are worh a damn on the bench. We were playing Paco on the wings this season who is practically a poacher and shouldn't be on the wings, as well as Turan and Rafinha on the wings who are both mids. Which would also explain the Douglas Costa link.

Also you have to remember, if we sign Bellerin that means Sergi instantly will likely become a midfield option again and that's really where he is best at. Vidal would become the back up right back. So I can see where they are coming from...get rid of Arda, add Bellerin and add one of Dembelee/Deolofeu/Costa and try to get a solid midfielder if possible. The team lacked structure under Lucho who basically played a "get the ball to MSN and let them work" and if Valverde reorganizes them we should be fine with these new signings.

Only issue with Sanchez is his lack of pressing. Been lazy in the games I've seen him play and easily frustrated at team mates.

The only way Sanchez leaves this season is if Bayern are serious about him.

I'd say Alexis' motivation and work rate are strong. He's very visibly a hard worker in trying to close down or win back balls (in fact this partially compensates for his number of turnovers and sloppy passes). But the disconnect from his teammates if he doesn't feel supported or matched by their same motivation and chemistry can be damaging, and that's when he appears to turn off a bit. It's been an issue at Arsenal from time to time. I would not expect it would be an issue at Man City (hypothetically) ... if Alexis got a ton of playing time. He wants to be on the pitch all 90 minutes at this point in his career.

We'll see... Don't really want Sanchez would rather use that money for a CM/DM. Our attack is fine and would prefer they integrated Roberts and City youth players into the squad. And Sane/Sterling need all the minutes they can get to develop. Additionally, we already replaced our biggest issue in our attack which was a David Silva replacement, a player that can open up teams. Player able to provide that "pre-assist pass (secondary assist)" to unlock teams.

However, it seems like the player's agent wants him to move to Bayern while Alexis prefers to stay in the PL. Also I never rated that Pace Merchant Bellerin tbh.

Thats what I'm concern about, his demand to get 90 minutes in 38 PL games + CL games will hinder Sanes/Sterling/Jesus development. However we can't depend on those three 21-23 year olds to compete in Europe.

Well, not surprising really. It's not an area the club has to strengthen as I more see it as a cosmetic signing than anything. Still, you never know with this club when it comes to signings. We could very well make a bid, a crazy one too.
