Also, I don't think it's acceptable that Sky let that *bleep* moron Neville comment Liverpool games. His bias is pouring out between every word

Doesn't change his stance even if proven blatantly wrong by a slow motion accompanying his words

Pool would definitely feel hard done by, not a penalty at all. Can't make fun of them today, really should have walked away with 3 points. Spurs staying 5th does please my soul though.

Pool should be happy to get a point imo, had a Dier assist for a goal and then Salah's pass into the box luckily rebounds to get him past two players. Credit to him it was good play after that, but he was insanely lucky to be in that position in the first place.

You couldn't have a jammier two goals.

Meanwhile Spurs had a legit penalty, but it's "jammy" "ghost penalty" because the way it was called was unusual. But everyone can see from the replay it's the right call.

In the end it's 2-2 and Liverpool have gotten away with it really, Spurs had them at their mercy even after Kane went for the pity penalty knowing that the first penalty given was offside

That vid showed he pulled back very much in time though cSpurs. Lamela milked it nicely and the ref fell for it, well played to him.

Because they didn't dominate Pool? Have the better chances? Pool scored on two jammy goals?

Get out of here. Anyone who thinks Spurs didn't at least deserve the draw can go

Spuds didn't deserved to win and I didn't even watch the match.

You're mistaking him pulling away with him clanking his foot into the back of Lamela's calf and his foot rebounding.

EDIT: I can admit that Spurs got very lucky that the linesman had the balls to call it. That pretty much never happens. The linesmen did make the correct call though

So the linesman fails to call the offside but makes a call for penalty which wasn't one. LMFAO

that same linesman also failed to see the blatant offside with the penalty call before, despite talking to Moss for about 3 minutes about it, in a way which looked like Moss doesn't understand sentences longer than 4 words

Yes, I said it earlier myself. Pool retreated to defend a narrow lead while Spurs were attacking incessantly. I felt Tottenham offered more than Liverpool and deserved the victory

However, when you start scoring penalties that aren't there, the merit immediately switches to the other side. The 2-2 penalty was a robbery honestly, especially after that beautiful, beautiful Salah goal.

What? the 2-2 penalty was stonewall, Van Dijk literally kicked Lamela in the back, it's the 1-1 penalty that was far more dubious

It's the furthest thing from being stonewall. Firstly, it wasn't intentional because you can clearly see the Liverpool defender pulling his leg away after realizing there was somebody there. Secondly, there's no clear contact. If anything, he barely grazed him, certainly, not enough for him to go down like that as if he was shot by a .44 Magnum, and definitely not enough for a penalty to be given. I would like to see from another angle because I suspect he didn't even touch him.

I understand that it's probably too difficult for the referee to see it, but that's a ghost penalty and Spurs didn't deserve to equalize through it.

They did enough to walk out as winners, but that penalty took away their merit and shifted towards Liverpool.

Lamela was offside, If the linesman had used his eyes and not his balls, He would have been flagged offside before the VVD incident.

I can understand the penalty being given under the circumstances. In hindsight, it's harsh.

a draw was probably a fair result based on the game, Loserpool did nothing after about 30 mins until the Salah magic, but Spurs didn't really create anything despite controlling the game.

Perfect result for the second placed team in the PL and the best team in the CL though so :coffee:

The 2nd replay showed he made no contact, come on, it's kinda clear to see. However, Lamela milked it and from the distance the linesman was at and the reaction from Lamela, it looked like a PK.

That being said, he should have definitely spotted the offside. No excuses there.
