The Premier League get all there stats from OptaStats, and they're pretty strict about what is an assist and what isn't.

Could be that talkSport got there stats from someone who uses a different criteria.

For example, OptaStats don't consider players winning penalties or free-kicks as assists, and they don't consider rebounded shots off players or posts as assists either. I know that some people do, though. That could be the difference.

yeah but the fact that he has insane record regarding assists and insanes records regarding goals all that in such "few" appearances compared to most of the others make his stats even more atonishing imo

Most of Henry's assists were cutbacks from out wide though. Bergkamp was a far more creative player.

If you're taking Spurs as the PL benchmark for Madrid, then please don't.

I'm sure you could win against most teams, but ManU, Arsenal and Chelsea can sure as hell beat Madrid.
