Nah, PS5 version doesn't even exist. This isn't how game development works, it isn't that simple.

If you're playing it on PS5 on 2020 it's because it's backwards compatible. An actual from the ground up version for the PS5 doesn't actually exist atm.

I didn't say there is a PS5 version but that it would be available as a launch title even if it is backwards comaptible. It just would be 100 times better to run on PS5 than on PS4 which is what they are going to aim for.

Probably learnt from TW3 which was a buggy mess for months. It's a good thing either way. Rather than releasing patches weekly at least they can test it properly with more time.

Yeah, Witcher 3 post and pre patches are night and day difference. I remember the stiff movement, messy inventory, ridiculous fall damage and numerous bugged quests. Coming back a year later for the DLC and the increase in quality was striking compared to launch. Good on CDPR for taking more time.

Good to know there are still developers who give a shit about quality and not just spit out mediocre games every year without giving it proper time to be perfected and well thought out.

I'm fine with waiting if it ends up being another epic game that people won't stop talking about for many years to come.

He’s still right, though. Regardless of whether or not they actually give a shit, they’ve certainly earned my respect through their actions. Particularly capitalistic game publishers are behind most notable games these days, but CDPR still publish their own games, if I’m not mistaken. They’re a company that’s easy to like.

Might be the biggest game ever made.

Prepare to get disappointed.

This is a very ambitious game. The multiple delays this game has suffered is a proof to how much work is needed for a project like this.

I don't know whether we're going to be disappointed or not. Based on Witcher games, the story and the quests are bound to be good. The rest of the game, I'm not sure. It is one thing to make a huge world and another to make it feel alive. For every title like GTA and Witcher there are dozens of titles like Far Cry and Rage.

My feeling is that the delays are because of the engine, they've changed it and haven't felt good about it. I mean making Witcher run a car? You remember how train like it was in the first game play video? Awful. It's huge risk to take to change core game mechanics.
