Mourinho had nothing to do with Varane signing. It was all Zidane.

Actually it was Mourinho that OK'ed the signing while it was Zidane who recommended him.

If you guys remember we fired our sporting director because Mourinho wanted full control over transfers. He liked what he saw and played a part in discovering him for us.

He did ruin a few careers though like Pedro Leon and Canales but I think his signings in the past are very good. In Chelsea he signed Essien for example, so I'll just leave it at that Mourinho has declined to a shite coach but wasn't always one.

Mourinho had nothing to do with the Varane signing other than OKing it.  He knew nothing about him until Zidane brought him in.  Zidane was also the one who recruited him, called him and eventually convince him to sign.

Kudos to Mourinho for not getting in the way, which he did for Hazard incidentally. Zidane also wanted to bring Mbappe to Castilla when he was 15... but Monaco offered more money.

Its one thing to 'ok' a signing and it's a whole other one to discover a player. Signing Carvalho is a testament to his short sightedness. He has no idea how to deal with talent. He wants players that'll run through a wall for him. Average players who are only good because of their work rates are his kind of players

Look, I'm not saying this Mou is the same as the Mou right now. But when he was at Madrid he felt like a very competent manager. Obviously this is not the same, his comments are classless and shows signs of not knowing what he is doing.

But all the signings... He played his part. Since he wanted full control and like you said, if he didn't want anyone they would have been as good as gone. I remember Modric being the one he 100% wanted himself, but Flo at the time felt he was a expensive signing but in the end it fell through.

And yes, I agree Zidane played the biggest part in getting Varane but in the end it was Mourinho who decided.

Mourinho fell apart in his 3rd season at Madrid.... did decently well at Chelsea too other than his last season there.

His shelf life is 2 years and then he ostracizes everyone come his 3rd. Been on par with that at Man U... except he never got the results at Man U.

Casillas really had a fight with Ronaldo and created some serious trouble for us. I can understand why nobody likes Mourinho but with R. Madrid he was competent and it was mostly the players fault, for leaking stuff and creating drama with galacticos worth more than money in this world.

Yup. He can't adapt to the times imo. Should atleast adapt to being a more humble manager when he isn't a winning one.

Casillas just did not wake up one day and decided he would start fighting with Mourinho, what are you talking about.

It's the constant disrespect, demeaning and almost bullish comments from Mourinho that led to that situation. He decided to attack a club legend and multiple squads veterans like Ramos and pepe and that shit did not fly. I mean the guy lost the Portuguese contingent in his squad, guys repped by his agent, that's how shit Mourinho was.

Why did he start a conflict with Ronaldo then? Sara Carbonero (casillas gf) called Ronaldo selfish and a egomaniac and the rest is history. Ronaldo took offense to her comments and Iker really gave 0 *bleep*.

CR was just starting to perform in big games and was outscoring Messi that year I think. He was atleast close to Messi in goals.

You wanna know what was wrong with him? He was selfish, something we knew when we signed him. And how do you fix that? By basically befriending him so he wants to see you score like CR wants to see Benzema thrive. It's no secret that CR favors Benzema and that he defends him til the end.

I felt like our players were losers at the time (that's just hard to swallow pills) and immature. This is not the same mentality we have today, where the players would play with a different mentality if Mourinho played his mindgames. He did poison our lockerroom though since he wasn't like Zidane who could move them to the next level

What I said though was that he was competent. That doesn't mean he didn't have flaws and he is nowhere near the level Zidane had. Zidane was pure class and his classy mentality blessed our dressing room for a long time. Ramos became one of the best captains I've seen under Zidane

After the way carbonero (spelling) was kicked out of Chelsea and the way Mourinho spoked to her and of her, are we really going to take the side of this mysoginic cuck?

The bottom line is that Mourinho created a nefarious and toxic atmosphere in our locker room which made us implode in many ways.

Mourinho is an underdog manager. He wants his players to take the underdog mentality... that was never going to work at Real Madrid and Man U. They're not underdog clubs and will never embrace his mentality.
