Serie A Roma finally found its way to the CL.

We deserve this loss fully.

I like EDF and I still support him, but this might just be the real beginning of the end for him.

EDF has had a refreshing time at Roma with his brand of football, idea and penchant for some risks that have paid off and resulted in their beautiful year that was last year but the failure to capitalise on what were higher expectations this year (rightfully so) given his third year where his team have found their style, their chemistry and footing it was imperative that they would string together the results needed to shake off the utterly frustrating mental lapses that Roma just seem to have in Champions league (bar last year) dropping points v provincial teams and mistakes more than being outplayed.

The squad clearly going from resounding win to bitter losses have simply come to the point where a sacking of EDF would be more a shame, than an genuine need.

Shame because it is one of those rare sackings that need to happen more due to how he has lost the faith of the dressing room and once lost, it cannot be regained. Most sackings are a reflection of the managers ability and his ceiling and only area here would be that Di Francesco happens to be a very young coach when it comes to a club the stature of Roma and would one not think it unwise to take the most fractured club in Serie A as your first big role?

Regardless it will play experience to him and if he can last this long in a club with the pressure of them I see him only a success in his next inevitable Serie A tenure.

I would call for the sacking now, simply due to he has lost what cannot be gained.

Tonight sums up why, a game of many chances but given favor to the other, unnecessarily. Bitter chance missed.

Tonight also proves EDF or anyone, Dzeko is needed for the front line and little to do with goals but for what he brings to the front line in his line, intelligence and chances created as the front 3 usually look lost without him.

Good win for rm, happy llorente had a good showing no nonsense shitty dribbling and dwelling on the ball hope he gets more chances in the future, Bale needs to build on this game showing some life again and lastly thank footy gods that isco is finally perma dropped and asensio follows him soon, much more deserving players are getting passed up to force these guys into the line up ie llorente.

Cause he is shit and overrated, let's be clear I don't hate him, I hate what he represents that a player can play like shit and offer nothing, but thanks to the brilliance of xaviniesta people act like he is amazing, cause his skill set looks similar...,you don't find it strange that isco is always good, unbelievable, untouchable, best ever, deserves to start, most talented, etc, just for dwelling on the ball and turning in circle then pass the ball back to Ramos, then rm fans feign ignorance to why he doesn't play, when it obvious he doesn't create anything, vision is shit, passing is shit, positioning shit and reading of the game terrible and he has been at the club six season, can't even string together one good season much less be a starter, the guy is so bad the team dropped the 10 position, brought it back then dropped it again.

James destroyed anything he has ever done in a madrid shirt, yet James got pushed out cause scrubsco fit better thanks to the fact he can turn in a circle neatly.

Madrid 2-0 down at home to CSKA.

Madrid will probably still win, but still.

I wonder what excuse is Florentino going to use if this keeps happening. Will he fire the manager again? Will he come to his senses and make a brutal overhaul? Will he keep things the way they are and distract himself with the tinfoil he's going to wrap up the Bernabeu with? Who knows, but I'm really enjoying seeing him getting his cheap ass handed to him almost every week now by minnows. He has to pay for his poor planning and passive, unambitious attitude.

Roma losing to Plzen means CSKA will finish bottom despite winning 3-0 at Madrid.

Must be the most glorious failure ever.

Don't even care that we lost since we're already qualified, but to the EDF haters this provided plenty of ammo for them to justify sacking him. He fielded a much stronger team than perhaps he needed to with Genoa at the weekend and still lost. I think that's a valid criticism.

More in general though, losing a match like this is emblematic problem I have with this club. They lack competitiveness. A resolve to win no matter what's at stake. I'd normally say Juve embody this, but they are losing to Young Boys as I type this. Ironic.
