But you have to win an actual relevant trophy first to get that charity shield

If there's one thing we need to take from life on earth is that it's almost impossible to beat Pep in the league. You simply can't compete with his brilliant mind and his quadrillion transfer war chest.

Re: 2018/2019 Premier League Discussion Part III
We really still complaining about Money considering Liverpool spent significantly more money last summer than any other team?
If they lose the title it's because Klopp over exhausted his players before Christmas like he does every year without once thinking about managing a 50+ game season.
Fuck all to do with money.

yeah cos pep has to sell his top stars so he can buy others. I don’t know how the guy does it. But your right it has nothing to do with money makes you wonder why teams like Cardiff are not winning the champions league more oftenGreat Leader Sprucenuce wrote:We really still complaining about Money considering Liverpool spent significantly more money last summer than any other team?

Not quite. Pep has the luxury of a strong bench and reliable depth, something that Klopp can only dream of.
Liverpool has spent money to improve the quality of their starting eleven but they didn't have time or resources like City to improve their depth as well. This is where money comes into the equation.
By the way, I'm not excusing Klopp by the way for not capitalizing on City's slip-ups. He has only himself to blame for that. But while I consider Pep to be the far superior tactician, I still believe that Klopp might've done slightly better had he had depth.

Yep. Just make two different lineups for both Liverpool and City using all their players and you'll see City has two strong teams, Liverpool has just one.

Re: 2018/2019 Premier League Discussion Part III
Fuck to do with money? Madness, of course it has to do with money. Ffs, only reason City are even competitive is because of money. They didn't groom (and get lucky) with 11 - 15 guys from their youth team, it is cash that got them there. And it's not like City need to sell to buy, they buy and that's that.
What I appreciate about City is that they purchase players with respect to Pep's needs (and wants). He obviously likes a strong team that can challenge on all fronts and has gotten the club to go along with it. After all, money is just another tool at your disposal...which City has a lot of.
But it can't be dismissed just because it might water down the achievements of your favourite manager nor it shouldn't.

Re: 2018/2019 Premier League Discussion Part III
Nah I'm sick and tired of people leaning on the money excuses tbh.
It's such an easy excuse for people to lean on instead of accepting their own faults, it's not the reason why at all.
Also people are way too obsessed with it, because someone costs loads of money doesn't mean he's good.
The amount of money spent, especially in PL means there's comes to a point of diminishing returns. Anyone who constantly bitches about it just outs themselves as someone who doesn't think.
You can tell yourselves if you want that someone is failing because of money but we are living in a very different reality.
Man Yoo have a squad which is just as expensive and look where that got them, it's almost like in the PL where money literally grows on trees for every big team that it's just a number on a piece of paper and has nowhere near the impact you think it does.

So what? Of course money don't guarantee you success, but it doesn't mean that having lots of money can't be used as an incredible advantage if smart.

But within their means. They were using the sweet Barca money for Coutinho, not a grant from the oil fields of the ME

Man who does Di Marzio's translations into the English Language.
Twitter account too but caution he has 240 character tweets every 5 tweets on his love, devotion and idolatry on Di Marzio, if you can stomach that.
