Fabrizio Romano: Auba to sign new three year deal, Gabriel to decide between Napoli and Arsenal soon, and Atletico still asking for full release clause for Partey.

Other reports suggest Gabriel may be leaning towards Arsenal as Napoli need to sell Koulibaly to make the deal happen. Apparently United are interested as well though, so we'll see.

The Partey deal looks to be the whole summer (ish) ordeal. Unless Ozil starts playing again, we still have that creativity problem, not to mention Real might keep Ceballos ( strangely quiet from Arsenal camp with this one). And the bigger problem of offloading players, we haven't got any player out rumors since some crappy tier 3, 2 or 3 weeks ago.

I know it's early but honestly, we still have A LOT of businesses to do. Given how the market uncertainty right now, I don't expect we could clear out deadwoods.

Thing is, very few teams anywhere are going to have all their business done before the season kicks off because it's a much shorter break. The window ends October 5th, which is still seven weeks away. That's a lot of time to get business done.

Outgoings are going to be difficult because the market has shrunk. There's even less room for risk. They'll end up being loaned out late in the window, in all likelihood. Also I'd assume Arsenal want Gabriel or any other CB in before they sanction any departures.

re Ceballos: Madrid want a fee for him. They need money so they're waiting for other teams to put offers in. Arsenal want him on loan again and I doubt their stance has changed at all. Will probably be a late move unless somebody buys him outright or Arsenal sign someone else.

I'm not worried about the Community Shield because it's going to be a friendly. Squads return to pre-season training this week and we might have one or two friendlies before it. Don't be surprised if both teams field a bunch of kids with the odd senior player.
