La Liga 19/20 - The new Era

It's not even about the decisions in this game its the fact that we have been at the end of poor refereeing decisions throughout the last two seasons and never benefited from VAR at all. It's starting to irritate the whole club. We have apparently requested to listen to the audio exchange between the VAR room and the ref

Compare that to the CL where we got a penalty against Gala for a foul nobody saw bar Kroos and VAR and we were already leading by 3 goals when VAR ref consulted the referee and asked him to have a look at the monitor again

That NEVER happens to us in the league unless it's to chalk off our goals for mm offsides and soft touches aka fouls

Watch RFEF try to level it all by ignoring a Bilbao blatant penalty on Sunday. Would be typical LaLiga refereeing

It goes both ways, I dont even think the refs are biased they're just clueless and very inconsistent.

But I think you can't say that you not winning the leauge in past years was due to refereeing. We were always much better and more consistent.

Oh trust me i am not blaming our inability to win leagues on poor refereeing decisions when we have been out of the running by early November

This season you could make that case if both teams stay level on points for the remainder of the season because in each game we have dropped points bar a few there has been controversy and not in our favour.

Still there is so much left of the season. I have no doubt in my mind both teams will drop points for different reasons ours being that only Benz can score consistently and Barca's being their Messi depencia so this game in all honestly is a win for both teams with us winning the mental battle.

At least I am happy we have been to all toughest grounds in LaLiga already

The games flanking the CL games will be key. Win those and you are favourite for the league

I'm a neutral party but I have to say, what's pretty sad is that, I saw Madrid fans celebrate winning 3 CL in a row with less fervour than this 0-0 against Barca (not just here but in general online) which honestly just highlights their mentality when it comes to Barca, who have been far superior to them domestically for like close to a decade at this point? it's pretty embarrassing.

Anyway, La Liga looking weak AF rn. Can't see anything but PL dominance on the European stage for the next half a decade at least. Don't @ me if you're mad. But feel free to @ me if you have any intel on Club Brugge. Thanks.

No, that's not true. You only focus on the calls that go in Barça's way because you're a Madrid fan. But in reality, both Madrid and Barça have nothing to complain about and we absolutely have no legs to stand on because the number of times we received preferential treatment from referees is more than any other team in La Liga and more than the number of times we got robbed.

Also, Ramos has a lot of nerve complaining about what he thought were penalties because I've lost count how many times he got away with murder in our penalty box.

If you keep quiet when you receive preferential treatment, you should also keep quiet when sometimes your opponents get one or two.

lol You have to be shitting me with this discussion. La Liga is trying to balance out the league and Barca's dominance every few years. This year is another one of those. The penalty call in the game against Real Sociedad where a slight shirt pull which happens every game 20 times is just the tip of the iceberg this season in the long list of ridiculous calls against Barca.

You wouldn't win it this season even with the reffs help

The fact that they are refusing to release the audio tape shoshould tell you all you need to know.

Last season a video recording was leaked where the VAR ref said "don't give it to him" when Vinicius was fouled in the box which was seen as a decision made based on the reputation of a player rather than what actually happened

Oh and please, I don't think we have had just 2 Clasicos in the last decade where there hasn't been ridiculous calls against us. Over and over and over we are robbed. Alot of the times we overcome it and win but we mostly dont

The club knew even before the game we'd play not only against Barca but also against the ref and the VAR ref who both have been very very unfair to us. They are modern day Clos Gomez and Texeira

I hope we don't stop here, I hope we force them to release the tape. If it means we play against RFEF for the remainder of the season then so be it, it wouldn't change anything, we play against VAR week in week out which was supposed to weed out poor refereeing decisions but has made it all worse

lol nobody here is happy about the result. us dominating Barca and not getting a result is nothing new and it's getting ridiculous. even Solari with an braindead Vinicius leading his attack dominated Barca at CDR games last season.

In Bernabeu we had 15 goal chances we scored none. Barca had 2 and a half and they scored 3.

Bro you play Crosselona and then complain about shirt-pulling. Score goals instead of crossing all the time and you wouldnt have to complain. Both fanbases are toxic

Emmanuel Bonnaventure might turn into George Weah vs you guys in Belgium but I think in Manchester, you guys should be fine. They do have issues with quick players so Rashford and Daniel should be able to constantly cause issues. They are not good defensively either. All in all, you should be able to handle them but Utd is a weird team so who knows.
