Takumi Minamino
He better not be relegated to the bench once this deal goes through.

Re: Takumi Minamino
I mean it took Ox, Keita, Fabinho etc at least 6 months to break into the squad.
As much as I love Minamino, a couple things happens once he joins. Wilson's career is probably done at LFC. Lallana should also leave.
He's up against Ox, Origi and Shaq for the front 3 and his chances are decent.
He could also play the highest midfielder in the 3 but with Gini and Keita coming back to form makes it tougher replacing the front 3.

Thats harsh. He was an integral player for a side that won the Austrian league by 12 points. He also has almost equaled his impressive goal tally last season before christmas.
Liverpool have players who are nailed on the team sheet right now. Next month? He's on the list.

So this is the Takumi Minamino Thread??? What a mystifying title. Hope the player himself isn't as such.

Na it isn't. Fabinho came in winning the Ligue 1 and Klopp didn't play him for 6 months as he moulded in what he could bring to the system. Changed him from a 15 goal B2B to a 1 goal DM. Same with Ox, changed him from a winger to a CM. Keita couldn't break through Milner and Gini for a year. Robertson sat on the bench for a season behind Moreno. Klopp takes his time until he's utterly convinced that the new player has understood the system. Minamino comes for a scrubby league where Salzburg don't defend and both Liverpool games while he was good, they had nothing to lose which is a horrible place to judge someone's complete football acumen isolatedly.

Maybe someone can rename the thread, or amend the thread title, to reflect more of what it is about, going forward, and less of Betty's obsessive racialist persecution complex

Re: Takumi Minamino
also, @Young Kaz, can you tell us a bit about Minamino? Have you followed his career? What's he like? More Firmino-like, or Mane-like? Or different altogether?
How do you realistically expect he can do in Liverpool?

Re: Takumi Minamino
He's unselfish and creates for those around him.
He'd be perfect in the hole behind Salah-Firmino-Mane.

Klopp knows what he is doing when he gives the green light for any player. So I am pretty excited about this Brazilian Minamino

Updated, sorry it wasn't sooner, I was away.
I get the feeling he's going to be a good signing for Liverpool.

Re: Takumi Minamino
Thanks Kick.
Hard game to judge him. Loved his pressing and work rate, he also got into a few good positions as well. Overall, we didn't create any chances and needed a worldie to win the game. Im quite confident as time passes and he's again put into such sort of situations, he can play with more confidence and to his ability.
No doubt, he'll automatically look better when he plays with the full squad.
No pressure Minu babes..........yet.
