Young guns ! Who is going to rock serie a
Serie a is notoriously infamous for over reliance on oldies. But there is a change in the air. This year serie a has gotten lot of young stars and more to come before the transfer window ends...below is the list of few player, both current and new arrivals... Let me know whom do you think will be the star of the season (if you have other ideas then let me know)
El-sharawaay (ac milan)- impressive season for padova last year
luc castaignos (inter)- 15 goals in 27 games
Ricky Alvarez (inter)- former Velez playmaker
Bojan Kirkic (Roma)- double UCL winner at the age of 20
Erik Lamela (roma)- shining light of relegated River Plate
Jose Angel Valdez (ROMA)- Highest cross provider at Gijon
Stevan Jovetic (Fiorentina)- Returning star from a horrible season
Eran zahavi (Palermo)- new arrival who is already starting to show his magics
Abel Hernandez (Palermo)- rising star with high scoring rate
Gaston Ramirez (Bologna)- in demand star
there are lot more players to come before August and lot more i have forgotten to mention...but they are the main contenders... Let me know about your ideas.

I have high hopes for El Shaarawy and expect Lamela to rip it with Roma. And I feel really bad for Jovetic, he owned Liverpool and Bayern in the world's biggest club competition and was on fire and then he is taken down by a knee injury. Will he ever be the same again? Here's hoping he picks up from where he left of, that kid. Also Bojan can finally get his chance to justify the hype he got. Also Abel Hernandez is really underrated, all we here is Pastore this and Pastore that but Hernandez is a gem too. I expect him to continue his fine form with Palermo.

Re: Young guns ! Who is going to rock serie a
Yeah, Abel Hernandez can turn into a Cavani 2.0.
Really. I see infinite potential in that kid. Maybe that's just me.
If Cristian Pasquato is about to join a Serie A club ( Cagliari are very interested ) than I expect him to have a breakthrough year. He is already known by all Juventini.
One of the best players in Serie B last year. Impressive technique and dribbling, and his main speciality are his free kicks. There is rarely a better free kick taker than him at his age. He can curl the ball so well, it seems like he is an experienced player who has been playing all his life in Serie A.
Sorensen, if he is loaned out somewhere where he will play regularly can be quite good too.

Slight exaggeration but that kid really is something. Hoping that injury does'nt change him!

I have high expectations in El-Shaarawy, Lamela, Bojan, Hernandez, and Jovetic.
And if I may add Elio Di Silvestro, he's been great so far in pre-season.

I also think this is the season that Sorensen will nail himself as a starter with Juventus.

Fabio Borini (Parma)
Came, saw, and conquered in a short loan period in the Championship. As well, he will be surrounded by some decent attacking quality in Giovinco, Biabiany, Crespo, and Palladino. Parma will be very exciting this season, indeed.

Technically, he is still U-21 and will be into the next season for about 2-3 weeks.

Re: Young guns ! Who is going to rock serie a
Mattia Valoti has been featuring for Milan in their pre-season friendlies and has looked more then capable slotting in alongside the likes of van Bommel, Gattuso and Ambrosini in midfield. He will probably play the role that Merkel and Strasser did last season seeing as they both will not be playing at Milan this season.
Shame that Calvano and Fossati have not also been with the first team

Re: Young guns ! Who is going to rock serie a
One who hasn't been mentioned yet is Michele Camporese, Fiorentina's 19 year old centre-back who can hopefully continue on from his debut last season and prove to be a real talent.

From Roma, Lamela, Gianluca Caprari and Jose Angel should all get enough playing time. Hopefully Crescenzi, and D'alessandro do too. And of course Bojan
