Re: Our defence
Lets have a vote. Out of Bruma, Kalas, Chalobah, and Rajkovic, who do you think/want to make it to the CB spots in the future? Please also give reasons. One can immediately replace Terry in the next season or two and one can replace Luiz because lets just assume that in 4-5 years he will leave.
I think I would have Chalobah and Bruma. Bruma is a direct replacement for Terry and 16 year old Chalobah would definitely be wc in the future and he can easily take his time to partner Bruma. Also because they both are our products (Kalas is not)!! The reason why I didn't say Rajkovic was because I don't think he is good enough, and not Kalas because maybe he can fit RB?
Obviously it's kind of stupid to assume that they will end up partnering each other but just for fun.

Re: Our defence
i think it will end up being Kalas and Chalobah with Patrick and Billy on the flanks.
Because Kalas is improving, Bruma's devolpment stalled woth Ancelotti and Rajkovic while decent will be shadowed by the rest.
Chalobah seems like a great young CB, best thing to come through our acadamy since Josh.

Re: Our defence
I wouldn't rule out that Ake kid giving a shout, apparently hes full of potential.
I think Bruma will take one of them playing in Hamburg will really help him learn the trade IMO.
Rajkovic is supposed to be really decent too, lets see if he gets the work permit.

Re: Our defence
Bruma would make it IMO. then Chalaboah has the potential to be a top one... others can be good.... but might not be enough to be top defenders. Probably will do well at mid table clubs though... like Huth.
Re: Our defence
I'm suprised so many of you rate Bruma that highly, he's never impressed me too much but admittedly I've not seen much of him or Kalas
Rajkovic has great potential, at just 22 he's already taller & bigger than Vidic. Got tonnes of experience on top of that.

Re: Our defence
Nah Bruma is not overrated, he is 19 years old and already been caped twice for Holland, thats not easy. If he was English and played for a mid table team he would be rated much higher then Phil Jones for example.
He is rated much higher then Van aanolt in Holland btw.
Bruma and Chalobah are far more promising then kalas and Rajkovic imo.

Re: Our defence
Anyways, I do not think his development stalled Mars. If he proves himself at Hamburg then everything will be fine and he would have proven that he's good enough.
