He will probably beat his record of 60 goals, he has 48 now, with at least 11(12 with CL final) games to play.

12 goals in 11/12 matches is not easy. I'm not sure if he can reach 60 goals tbh

However I'd much rather he saves all his goals for the remaining CL games and copa final :coffee:

Ronaldo uncertain for Bilbao trip

Ronaldo admitted to feeling some pain as a result of a late foul by Galatasaray substitute Nordin Ambrabat when speaking with reporters after Tuesday's 3-2 defeat at Galatasaray, a result which still sent Madrid through 5-3 on aggregate to the Champions League semi-finals.

The Portuguese international did not take part in full training at Madrid's Valdebebas facility on Thursday, and coach Jose Mourinho could decide to excuse him from the game against Athletic Bilbao, given his side's focus is now firmly set on their Champions League semi-final first leg in two weeks' time.

Ronaldo's importance to Madrid was further confirmed by his double strike in Istanbul, which took him to 11 Champions League goals for the season, three ahead of nearest challenger for top scorer, Lionel Messi. That haul is also a Madrid record for the competition - surpassing the mark of 10 which had been held by Raul which Ronaldo equalled last term.

The former Manchester United man was joined in the gym on Thursday by Gonzalo Higuain, Michael Essien, Fabio Coentrao and Kaka. Essien had looked the most serious doubt for the semi-finals, having been substituted in the first half against Galatasaray with a muscle problem. Initial reports suggest the Ghana international will miss the game against Marcelo Bielsa's Basque side, but should recover in time for their next European date.

Should Ronaldo not start at San Mames, youngster Alvaro Morata may get another chance to impress. Sergio Ramos and Xabi Alonso, who missed the trip to Turkey through suspension, will both likely come back into Madrid's starting XI for the game at the ground at which they clinched last season's Primera Division title.

Most Cristiano compilations on youtube are terrible but every once in a while a great video just hits it out of the park.

Word in Spain is that Ronaldo has gotten super tight with Iker and Sergio as of late. That's really nice to hear considering there is always news of someone hating someone else etc lol

What is this blasphemy? CR and Higgy were not supposed to get along well yet here they are sitting next to each other!

But anyway. How you guys would invest the cash if PSG buys CR for 100mil euros? You can also count in the summer transfer kit (50mil?) we have without selling anyone.

Falcao, midfielder & Isco/Bale

Something like this I guess:

-----------Falcao
Bale/Isco-Özil-Benzema
---------Modric-mid

Hope Ronaldo stays though..

I would be tempted to try City's and Aguero's resolve, specially now that Neymar is going to Barca and rumors about Aguero wanting to leave. Benzema-Higgy-Aguero forward line looks pretty good, at least on a paper. Rest of the money would go to midfield, Isco and Carvajal.

http://futbol.as.com/futbol/2013/06/04/primera/1370300682_401875.html

AS saying that CR7 has decided to not extend his contract past 2015 and wants to leave the club no later than the end of his contract in 2015. Feels that all the kind word by Flo were only politically motivated as FLo spoke more to him in the last 2 weeks than the entire previous 4 years combined.

So, is this the example of your experience of knowing which sources to trust and which to not?

Today's story in Marca has Perez, the club's president, saying on Punto Pelota "don't worry about CR, he has 2 years left on the contract, he'll stay on for many years and I think he will retire here" and AS ran the complete opposite story with their "inside sources" (this time apparently from someone close to CR as they seem to be privy on his state of mind) and offering the reasoning that Perez is only using CR politically - which is interesting to say the least, seeing how Perez had nobody to run against in the first place.

Now, I am not claiming one thing or another, it could still go both ways, but I think it says a lot that you decided to copy/paste a story with no sources, no quotes and no intelligent reasoning, which is also in complete contradiction with what our president said publicly, not to mention the simple fact that any coach and club would love to have the 2nd best player in the world, who has also been by far our best performer since coming in and is breaking all our records with every season.

Please tell me there is something else behind your decision what to "report" here than "AS is an extremely reliable source".

Marca is garbage and Perez said, among other things:
- We hadn't bid on Neymar in over a year (lol)
- Madrid has not made a formal contract offer to Carlo (lolx100)
- He has no news of Juventus making an offer for Higuain (lolx1000)
- He has not spoken to Zidane about any transfers or a new manager yet LaughingLaughingLaughing

Perez is in full BS mode.

AS is not perfect... but they've been getting a lot right the past 2 years.
