Is Serie A destined to decline even further?
Serie A became even weaker...
Mass exodus of high quality players made Serie A as a whole even weaker than last year. AC Milan is still looking for their midfield maestro, so leave them out
Pastore-> PSG= Palermo sucks balls now
Sanchez-> Farca= Udinese has got even less of a chance against Arsenal in CL qualifiers
Snejder-> Manu= Still open, both sides didn't deny a possible move ( see cyberman's post)
Who is left? Edinson Cavani and some others. The players I listed are all high profile players who are/were integral parts of their teams.Who is going to compete for CL? Inter? AC Milan? Udinese?
Bottom line, I don't believe that Serie A could make a comeback anytime soon. Ligue 1 will overtake Serie A in near future.

Re: Serie A became even weaker...
But Certain Serie a teams have bought talented prospects from south america and from other high profile european leagues such as ..
Roma buying Lamela ,Bojan and Stekelenburg..They look a much better and a more competitive team than last season..And they arent finished yet in the market..
Inter buying Jonathan and Ricky Alvarez
Juventus acquiring red-hot Vidal from bundesliga..We really possess a solid group of players..
And perhaps a surprise is expected from both Inter and Milan in the latter stages of the window..
And i think we have to accept the fact that palermo and udinese are selling clubs..Although i would have liked to see someone like pastore transferring to a serie a team ,that ludicrous tag is what hindered serie a teams from purchasing him..
Although i must say sneijder would be a big loss to the league as a whole..
The league has got more competitive IMO with even napoli and lazio bringing quality players but i beleive the quality is still intact..And its too early to judge since the market is yet to get over..
But i have to say that its quite embarassing that we let go of talented players like crisicito,Pastore etc to relatively inferior leagues..It really shouldnt have happened..
Also much depends on our perfomances in european competitions though..Its high time that we take el seriously..
And lets hope both milan and inter make a real coup in the closing stages of the window..
Bit too presumptuos to say that Serie A is on the decline..

Re: Serie A became even weaker...
Have you seen Roma strengten? Juventus? Napoli?...
Palermo got weaker and Udinese, but those two were no help by any means.
Inter and Milan are still the same...
So the answer is NO.

The main Serie a teams in Europe arent getting weaker.Napoli,Milan and Inter arent selling their stars.
Nothing has happened to Sneijder yet,Udinense never stood a chance,is palermo even in Europe?
Roma and Juve got much stronger,Lazio are looking very good with hernanes, zarate and klose.
Hate as much as you want....

Before long it will not be comparable with top European leagues such as the Premier League, La Liga and the SPL.
