Miyaichi named Man of the match by sky co-commentator Gary Neville.

Involved in the build-up for first goal (Pratley), and assisted the second for Klasnic after great footwork.

Excellent display.

Post by Quinten Metsys Sun Mar 11, 2012 10:23 am

Bolton boss Owen Coyle was delighted with Ryo Miyaichi's Man of the Match performance in their vital 2-1 home win over Queens Park Rangers on Saturday.

The former Burnley manager was particularly pleased with the way his team scored the second goal, where Miyaichi played a major role assisting his team-mate Ivan Klasnic with a brilliantly taken pass.

“We scored a terrific goal, great individual skill from Ryo Miyaichi and then Klasnic goes in one on one it with the goalkeeper and it's an oustanding finish,” he told BBC after the game.

The 45-year-old again praised the Japanese youngster, who has been in tremendous form since his arrival at Bolton in January, on loan from Arsenal.

“We threw on Klasnic [to win the game], so we had four bona fide forwards in him, (David) Ngog, (Chris Eagles) and Ryo Miyaichi, who I thought was terrific again.”

Bolton now are 17th in the Premier League table, one point above the relegation zone.

That's supposing Bolton stay up, but isn't it assumable that we could find a lower table team to loan him to in any event? I would hope we'd do that with Campbell unless we start putting him on our bench. (After we sell park and chamakh OBVIOUSLLLEH)

Ryo makes BBC PL team of the week.

Miyaichi created seven goalscoring chances (including one assist). There have only been three instances of more in an entire Premier League season.

Arshavin keen to revive Arsenal career after Zenit loan

The Russian endured a difficult few months at the Emirates but insists he intends to return to north London in the summer, particularly with his family settled in the capital

The 30-year-old forward, who signed for the Gunners in January 2009, endured a difficult few months at the Emirates prior to his temporary departure, being widely criticised by fans for a drop in form.

However, Arshavin has insisted he is still keen to continue his career with the north London side, particularly with his family settled in London.

When asked if he intended to return to Arsenal, Arshavin told RT Sports: “Of course, yes.

“Every player does not want to sit on the bench or the stands and watch the action from there.

“When I was at Arsenal, I always wanted to play and not sit on the sidelines watching everything unfold.

“I’m used to living in London and while I am on loan at Zenit my family has stayed in London, because my children go to school there and everybody feels comfortable there.”

Wellington wants Arsenal career and shot at Olympics

Loan Watch Thread - Page 16 Wellington001-460x250

Arsenal youngster Wellington Silva insists that he still has his heart set on a career in England, but admits that he has to stay focused on doing well for Alcoyano in the Spanish second tier if he is to impress Arsene Wenger.

The Brazilian teenager was signed by the Gunners in January 2011 from homeland side Fluminense having impressed at the under-17 World Cup in 2009, but has since spent two spells in Spain having not secured a work permit to stay in the UK.

Loaned to Levante in the second half of last season, the attacker returned to the Valencia-based club for the 2011/12 campaign but has since dropped a division to play for Alcoyano after rumours of disciplinary problems.

Speaking to Transfermarkt.co.uk about his future, the 19-year-old spoke openly about his progress in the last 18 months.

“I am working hard to prove that I am able to play for Arsenal´s first team. That is my goal.

“I am an Arsenal player and I wish to play for the first team there. At the moment I am only focused to help Alcoyano though, to finish the season in a good position.”

Touching on his time at Levante, Wellington made clear he enjoyed his spell despite not garnering many first team minutes. Indeed, ignoring suggestions that he was forced out due to poor behaviour he stressed:

“During the time I spent at Levante I was very professional and did my job properly, always training hard and being ready for the team. For that reason the manager decided to stick to the same team and I wasn´t first choice.

“It was a great experience for me. I learnt a lot there. Levante is a great team.”

Having briefly featured for the Arsenal Reserves before having a work permit application rejected, Wellington admitted that it was frustrating being so close to the Gunners first team set-up while knowing he had little chance of being involved.

“It was very difficult. It feels like something is really close and really far at the same time. I hope soon in the future Arsenal can sort it out and I am sure I will make Arsenal fans and the club very happy with my football.

“Arsenal have a scout who follows all my games and reports to Mr. Wenger. The football director is in contact with me regularly.”

While Wellington may have to wait for a chance to shine in the Premier League, the youngster hasn’t given up hope on taking London by storm in the near future. With one eye on the 2012 Olympics in the summer, the left-winger maintained that he is in with a shout of selection for Brazil.

“The Brazilian national team is still my dream. I am hoping to get a call soon and want to play at the Olympic Games in London this year.”
