Yeah, but reducing the debt will give them huge relief on their annual interest payments on the loan.

The Glazers say they are going to reduce the debt but it really depends by how much, they could easily pocket some of the funds can't they?

They wont sell half there shares then that would mean Glaziers wont have control over the club.All this means is United will be stuck with the Glazers for the foreseable future.

Also they have to keep winning if they have a poor few seasons on the trot(Maybe when Fergie retires?) then they will be under financial pressure as share value may drop drastically.

theyre only IPOing ( which is apparently different than selling) 25% of their shares, not half.
When Chelsea won 2x EPL titles in a row and we failed at the CL group stages, we actually posted record numbers.
Anyway theyre IPOing now, not 5 years from now. If the Glazers arent selling, then share prices dont really affect him.
If they get 600m now and the share prices go down, its not as if theyll have to repay the difference
