After Nike dropped out
Previously world-record kit deal is Real Madrid at £30m per-year. Adidas will reportedly offer £75m per season for 10 years.

A link would be nice... but I expected it to be a £60m-per-year deal at least, so saw this coming. It's an incredible deal, but everyone who has an idea of football sponsorship should've seen this coming, United have been and still are in a class of their own when it comes to sponsorship deals (in England).

It varies, I've seen £60mil-£75mil, we'll probably know a more accurate figure later on.

Much better than Nike. Adidas seem to actually make an affort. We've had to put up year after year of rubbish, lazy and uninspiring shirt designs since like the 07/08 season.

Why would Adidas pay more for Madrid with no competition?
Utd were at 750m with Adidas and warrior both in the frame
Adidas aren't gonna pay Madrid 70m a year when the next competitor is offering 25 lol
Utd have always been the leading club in this regard, clubs are only today slightly surpassing our numbers from 12 years ago

I said that I hope our current deal provided for payment bumps in case Adidas offer other teams more money than they currently pay us. Just wishful thinking on my part.

The deal is huge.. but I think maybe getting exaggerated here a bit?

I think the renewal of Madrid's deal was 2012, making it an 8 year extension to 2020.

This deal would take Utd to 2025 no?

Either way, suddenly our Puma deal doesn't seem so great - but hey its only 5 year.. 10 years is a big commitment. Who's to say in 2020 RM wont be able to land a 125 mil p/year deal.
