Modric coming is all good....

What do we do with Lampard, who clearly can't be relied on and doesn't really fit the system? Do we play a midfield of Modric, Ramires and Mikel? Don't think that would work because I don't think Modric plays best where Lampard plays.

Ask Malouda/Mata to play deeper to fill Lampards gap, Allow Modric to dictate play and let Ashley bomb down the left like always

I am pretty sure Modric will replace Ramires in the starting squad initially, but of course if Lampard continues to struggle he will be dropped.

Lampard will be dropped but who replaces him?? I do not think McEachran is ready to be playing week in and week out, and I think Villas-Boas thinks the same, so do we put Benayoun?
I think though Villas-Boas plans to play with the players and rotate them in different formations, because a midfield of Modric, Ramires and Mikel is not creative enough.

Huh? The whole point of getting Modric is for creativity, I hope you mean Lampard otherwise you are wrong in saying this mate.

Okay but who plays where Lampard is currently playing? Modric in a CM, Ramires is a b2b so he can't play further up, and Mikel is a DM.

Modric today showed that he is incapable of playing consistent high quality soccer, Chelsea should get Sneijder who has actually done something, everyone can produce moments of brilliance and clearly Modric has built a reputation on them.

Tottenham are horrid, he needs to get out of there while he can. We don't need an AM we need a quality CM with creativity.
