Come to think of it, Madrid have not faced a top European team except Barcelona for a while, it'll be pretty exciting if they clashed with Chelsea, Inter, Bayern, etc.

Teams like Lyon, Tottenham, Milan, aren't cutting it in terms of excitement.

I would love to play City in the group stages because of the sheer star power on the field..... But as always I want United in a knockout tie, I just want to murder them

That's the worst logic I've ever heard. Why do Madrid need to prove themselves against Barcelona? After all, Madrid beat Hercules, who beat Barcelona, who beat United, who's beaten every EPL team. Therefore, Madrid has already won against every team in the EPL.

Fact of the matter is, Madrid faced Milan, and Milan were dominated. They needed an offside goal to draw at the San Siro against an inexperienced Madrid who lost 5-0 to Barcelona. Milan are probably better now than they were during the group stages last year, but it's still going to be quite boring and repetitive to the last few encounters.

LOL I just searched how many matches Real Madrid had vs Chelsea. We only played 3 times. 2 Wins for chelsea and one draw. Not the best record I guess.

I think if we should play an english team it should be united. Its been quite a while since that Ronaldo hattrick.

Either way playing vs german or italian teams is more fun than english teams. That's my opinion Razz

What a display from borja valero again.Eventually gained a zidane esque red card but man he was all over the pitch,MOTM hands down.

Carzola who? Borja is the Engine of this villareal side.

even though rossi scored two goals, for me he was really bad yesterday.Missed some glorious chances and he was lucky to score the first one .

There isn't much difference between Inter Chelsea and Milan atm but I think Milan is a bit better than those two and with Eto gone I don't see them as strong a force.

Apparently the Turkish FA have told Fenerbache that they won't be allowed to participate in this years Champions League due to the match fixing scandal.

So this means they'll be an extra space in the Group Stage draw tomorrow. No indication as to who'll replace them as of yet.
