Re: Group A Discussion
Bayern have players like Schweini, Muller, Gomez (somewhat), Kroos, Lahm and many other good players.
You people are underrating them terribly!

Don't think Chelsea will cruise it as everyone expects.
depends, leverkusen with last season's form could have done something but right now i don't find them convincing. they'll have a hard time against valencia and chelsea.

Bayern to win it and City will finish second..
Napoli have a really mediocre defense and their attack overshadows the other positions to be honest..
Napoli to finish bottom in my opinion..

You have got to be kidding. If anyone is coming out, it is Bayern.
Lots of trap games fro them, I have a gut feeling, they will struggle like nobody to get out of that group

My prediction is Bayern to embarrass City and Napoli and then lose in spain but will still top the group.

Re: Group A Discussion
yea i don't think bayern will have many problems against city honestly. you can buy countless worldclass players but you can't buy mentality.
bayern go into these matches with another kind of confidence. CL football is nothing special for them, they'll get the job done. it might not look good but it'll work.

Also, will be interesting to see what treatment City fans will get in Italy when they go to Napoli. They stabbed a few Liverpool fans in Italy before the game last year in EL

Bayern depend on Gomez a lot more than on Robben now. If they stay solid, he'll score at some pointSepi wrote:50% of Bayern's chances depends on Robben's injury.

Re: Group A Discussion
Problem with all German teams is that they are not deep.
Barca, Real, Chelsea and City prtetty much have two great teams.
If Götze, Robben or Renato Augusto are out for the German teams they can't compensate that.

I can't believe how underrated Bayern is on these forums.
I can't place who's coming out, but I know Napoli and Villareal need to fix their defense in order to stand a chance.

Napoli's record against the big boys was disturbingly bad last year, correct?
I don't like their chances.

BREAKING NEWS!!!!!!!!
Eccentric/insane Napoli owner Aurelio De Laurentiis stormed out of the televised UEFA Champions League fixture draw for the 2011/12 season, upset that his club's first season back in the Champions League won't be as easy as he had hoped. The movie producer who took the club from bankruptcy in Serie C to a third-place finish in Serie A last season has never been afraid to blurt out whatever he feels like and the fact that this event was broadcast on live television didn't change that.

Re: Group A Discussion
Any top team will struggle from that group. Cant go easy on Napoli or Villareal and City especially.
Prediction (on paper):
1) Bayern (no injuries and no blatant mistakes in defence)
2) City (Mancini being smart)
3)-4) Napoli/Villareal (equal teams imo)
