8-10 is really equal and based on the what they do at a particular time. For too long Valdes isnt doing anything which means it hard for me to make a special liking for him. But he saves our ass from time to time so I still like him alot. Pedro is so clutch and so often the first goalscorer, but sometimes his general decision making can annoy me. Used to dislike Busi and his lack of physical tools often has me complaining, but some of his moves on the ball are superb, so good I am copying them myself when I play.

Tbf Dani... I can hardly think of a time where Busquets has been outmuscled. Its something I used to always say 'that we need more muscle' in there sometimes, but I think he's just so good in other areas that the fact that he is skinny doesn't matter. He's pretty strong on the ball etc. and generally gets fouled to lose the ball. He's not an animal like Yaya, which is the problem, because he is who we're comparing him to, but I don't think his physique is not at all a hinderance to his play. I should know, I'm exactly the same height and weight as him. Though I'd say I'm more agressive.

Its not just outmuscled Kizz, its everything.

If someone goes past him, its over, if they get half a step its over, he wont recover. Cant make physical contact to slow him down, cant run him down. Simply, people arent scared to run at him. He has things in which means he very rarely gets into these situations, which is why I like him defensively. However, 1 V 1 with someone elite, there will be put one outcome 8 times out of 10.

dani, very interesting explanation.

For me right on top is the holy trinity, essentially the three pillars of football today in my eyes. Lionel Messi, Xavi, Andres Iniesta. Yes I have a slightly greater personal connection with Iniesta but I can't break this into first, second and third because of immense respect and admiration for Messi and Xavi.

After that some of the players who I like a lot are David Villa, Dani Alves, Carles Puyol and Eric Abidal.

Other than this I pretty much like every player in our current team and squad with more consideration for those who are first teamers and perform a more important role.

Interestingly a lot of love for Afellay. I've liked him for a long time now, long before he moved to Barca. I follow him on Facebook where he updates really often, even just with little things. The other day he wished Mascherano a happy birthday. He seems like a nice guy. He's got a lot more skill than he's shown at Barca too... that's why I'm surprised you guys like him already... he really hasn't shown much of what he can do.

@Kickmars: Its not that I hate Milito, but in the 4 years he's been here he's just been injured on and off and hasn't had much of a chance to give much to the fans. So its hard to have developed a likeness for him. I don't want him gone because I hate him, but because he was horrible this season.

Interesting for me, because I've not always been the biggest supporter of his. Before Deco left, I always only wanted Xavi and Deco in midfield, and I didn't really like Iniesta that much. I always sold him on Fifa and didn't think he'd become that big a star. However, since Pep has come in, he's been superb and gets better each year. In real life I'm a midfielder so naturally my favourite players are always mids/attacking mids, this year I've really been learning a lot from Iniesta's game and becoming more like him... I like playing like that, so I'm liking watching him more and more. Though I'll always prefer Xavi and Messi.

Perhaps he should be at the same level of Busi.
Football wise, I love Iniesta. For me, he has been our second best player this season, and I think he is vital. I was also a big supporter of him, asking for him to be a starter long before Deco was gone. However, for non footballing reasons I don't like him as much as the other players above.

Mainly, it's because Iniesta is strongly commended by Spanish and Madridista press. Even during periods of strong criticism against our players, Iniesta was still lauded by the Madridistas. You could say it's not his fault, but at the same time Iniesta has always been very diplomatic, even friendly, with the same Madrid press that was criticizing his teammates/club/coach. Never standing up like Piqué, Xavi, Valdes or Puyol do.

Strange that you should find it negative that he is diplomatic and friendly to the Spanish press. Firstly, he is Spanish after all Free... he shouldn't have to 'defend' Catalunya or whatever like Puyol etc. Secondly, he is equally if not more friendly with the Catalan press and he's always been very good with the whole Catalan thing. I dunno, I can understand you liking Xavi, Messi, Valdes and Puyol more than Iniesta, but I would have thought he'd come in after that. Surely thats taking your Cat bias a bit far! lol

It is ok that Iniesta is friendly with spanish media that doesn't attack our team, like some TV channels, but I think he shouldn't be THAT friendly with media that does attack our team. He doesn't mind giving interview to those media, and he also rarely stands up against that press and Mourinho/real Madrid accusations, as other guys do.

I have nothing against Iniesta aside from that. He's a great person, even speaks catalan and has played with catalonia a couple of times. Great guy.
