Perrotta with a minor injury, in doubt for the derby as well.

What about Gago? Is he injured or I have misheard something. Play him instead of Perrotta. Better option if we want to keep the ball..

I predict Lamela to be subbed in and then he will decide this one.

Lamela is best played as an SS/AM, I see him being subbed in for the Totti role as such.

Bojan has a tendency to be invisible. Borini should be given a chance if that happens for sure.

Pizarro picked up a knock today FFS. He's still in contention for one of those midfield spots along with Perrotta (also in doubt), Gago, Greco and Simplicio.

Lobont is also KO. Stekelenburg to start, with Curci on the bench.

Juan is also set for his first call-up.

i've always been good at predicting our XI's, but i haven't gotten a single one right under LE

it's not my preferred XI. just my prediction for LE. i doubt he'll start Juan/Lamela for such an important match. Juan maybe, def not Lamela

Hernanes and Cisse are the main threats imo also Mauri is always up for the derby game.

Hernanes should be stopped at all cost thus i feel Perrotta should start but i just cant find a place unless Pjanic plays just behind the strikers(which is highly unlikely)

I expect us to be poor in front of the goal if we play Bojan, Osvaldo and Borini together they just wouldnt gel... we should look to strengthen the midfield by pushing Bojan out on the left and Osvaldo and Borriello or Borini up ahead..

perrotta's still an injury doubt. even if he's recovered, he still won't be at 100% so no point in playing him since he's only good for his stamina/workrate

logically, pjanic should play in the totti position but i have a irky feeling LE will try to play bojan there because he possesses no logic

i'm not worried at all about hernanes. he's a nervous wreck when it comes to derbies. and it's always him/muslera who win games for us . ciise seems to do well against roma (e.g. Panathinaikos). i'd be more worried about him. if everything goes wrong for us, i wouldn't be surprised if he scores a brace

i'm hoping rosi scores. it's always a great moment when a roman scores his first derby goal. i was in tears when aquilani scored

Im happy Stekelenburg is back, Lobont didnt provided much security in my opinion.

we get injury crisises every year. last year was worse

lobont did well enough for a reserve keeper. he just needs better keeper gloves

Tagliavento will be the referee for the match and Lazio fans are already complaining like crazy, despite the fact that he is by far the best official in Italy at the moment. Of course it's just an attempt to condition Tagliavento before the match and try to get some help from him, really sad.

i never liked tagliavento. wasnt he the one who ref'ed the catastrophe of a match between brescia and roma last season? i remember seeing him a few more times last season and he always made poor decisions. not a big fan of him

No that was Russo, along with the help of Ayroldi. Russo hasn't reffed anything important since then and Ayroldi has been dropped this season.

It's going to be Tagliavento's third derby. His first goes back to April 18th, 2010, where Ranieri's Roma won 2-1 thanks to a Vucinic brace. Two penalties were awarded that match, one per side. His second derby was March 11th, 2011, where Totti gave us the win with his two goals. Ledesma will have to be careful, having been sent off in both derby games officiated by Tagliavento.

Don't know why those muppets are complaining about the ref sure didn't he send of Burdisso for a soft challenge on Pazzini last season..

Burdisso over Heinze and Gago over Simplicio is a big risk. It will be intersting to see how up the field Pjanic plays and how he links up with Osvaldo n Bojan..

prediction >>> 1-1 missing key players and Cisse n Hernanes seem to be in good form for s.s. *bleep* so i think we should be good for a draw.. hoping for our midfield to rise up to the occation which could win us the match but gago worries me..
