About time that they focus some episodes on people other than Rick and the group. This is exactly what I've wanted from the show for a while now - show other peoples' stories and have them intertwine with the main one

Yaaaaaaas finally Great frickin episode. Rick and the group were getting sooooo boring, this was exactly what we needed. I think they are going to focus on the Governor in the next episode as well

Back with Martinez and the other dude now, he's got a group together again.

at the Governor in the zombie pit. Rippin out throats and sh1t. I mean he could've just bashed their skulls in, but he kills them all in the most brutal way possible all in front of the little girl.

That chess scene is foreshadowing imo. When she painted the King with a patch, definitely got him thinking about being the "governor" again.

but I also think there's a good possibility to goes to the prison not to make peace, but to see if they will take in the 3 women, thinking they'll be better protected there.

edit: also Talking Dead was the best one I'd seen thus far. David Morissey, the Gov himself was on.

and I think based on how these 2 eps are completely about the Governor, that he's going to get killed. Probably the episode after next. Kinda like with T-Dawg.

What are you guys on about? I thought that was one of the more boring episodes of the season...

The Governor looks a changed man. Initially thought he was going to take the two women and the girl to the prison and try and work something out with Rick, till I saw Martinez. Looks like they're going to be taking their time with the Governor again. Him build up another army then we're finally going to see the "big war"?

I don't know what to say about this episode. Reading around the internet, people have either been absolutely loving it, or they hated it. It was a bit of a paradox for me too.

The best thing about TWD is the direction and story telling. They do these episodes really really good. Like the Rick-Carol episode or the Clear episode from last season. This however was completely different. They probably introduced a new style which we may see more of in the future. I mean we had characters like that guy and his son but we never saw a backstory for them. But we got one for the Governor who is not even supposed to be alive by the comics.

The most interesting part was the retribution of the governor. Was he trying to help the family to just survive? or he did it because that girl reminded him of his daughter? Is he really a 'good' person now or will he be back to being what he was at Woodbury? it goes back to the main theme of this season really. In any case, i think he is trying to back to what he was before the outbreak. Maybe we might see a different governor.

I also thought the same El Gunner. And i think he will take them to the prison. But that's the thing though, people expect it to be a big confrontation between Rick and the governor in a context of good vs bad. But now that the governor is 'good'. It will be good vs good. What will Rick do?

I liked the episode a lot, and for once, there was not much stupidity!

I'm wondering what will go next... will the Governor try to attack the prsion, or make some kind of pact with them?

I think the question whether the Governor has changed or not can be answered if it become clear whether him being outside the prison was after he met the girls or before he met them.

I think it was after. This episode was clearly a flasbhack.

Brian The Guv'na looked like Michael Myers in Rob Zombie's H2 with that scruffy hair, beard and hobo ensemble

Would have been lul worthy if Guv'na got all those oxygen tanks back to granpappy, only to have him die the next day anyway

I liked this episode, it was a nice change in pace, setting and characters and showed us that the Guv'na is not only alive, but doing well(ish)

The governor and that little girl is their live version of Lee and Clementine lol.

I thought that was a good episode tbf. Prolly my favourite from this season.
