Re: Managers winning percentage
I think Van Marwijk with the Dutch NT probably has a higher winning percentage - we tend to win all our matches, whereas Spain sometimes slacks off in friendlies/qualifier matches etc.
Also, Mou <3

And yet despite all claims to the contrary by Stoke fans, the Special Five still gets schooled by Pep every single time.

you gotta give it to him
he has tought his player how to:
1) dive
2) play act
3) crowd the ref
4) intimidate other players
5) cover their mouth so that nobody could prove anything they said
6) be humble and respectful
ADD paying the refs to get you resluts and non-existent red cards(no wonder barca always record losses)
why else do you think barca were struggling in preseason?? all refs were on holiday back then

Here are the transfermarkt.de stats for van Marwijk: http://www.transfermarkt.de/de/bert-van-marwijk/aufeinenblick/trainer_502.htmlGuiltybystander wrote:I think Van Marwijk with the Dutch NT probably has a higher winning percentage - we tend to win all our matches, whereas Spain sometimes slacks off in friendlies/qualifier matches etc.
For the Dutch NT they give 45 matches, 2.27 points/match, that is 75.67% wins

Re: Managers winning percentage
So, I decided to calculate the numbers for some NT coaches:
Del Bosque (Spanish NT): 48 Matches; 2,65 points/match = 85.22% wins
van Marwijk (Dutch NT): 45 matches; 2.27 points/match = 75.67% wins
Bento (Portuguese NT): 11 matches; 2.27 points/match = 75.67% wins
Löw (German NT): 75 matches; 2.20 points/match = 73.33% wins
Prandelli (Italian NT): 16 matches; 2.13 points/match = 71.00% wins
Capello (English NT): 37 matches; 2.11 points/match = 70.33% wins
Blanc (French NT): 17 matches; 2.06 points/match = 68.66% wins
Menezes (Brazil NT): 18 matches; 1.89 points/match = 63.00% wins
Sabella (Argentine NT): 6 matches; 1.67 points/match = 55.67% wins
Tabárez (Uruguay NT): 55 matches; 1.65 points/match = 55.00% wins
Of course this is a bit more difficult than evaluating the club results as the NT coaches mostly have much fewer matches. Actually, I was highly surprised that Jogi Löw has the most matches of this selection.
Another surprise for me was that Capello looks more efficient with the English NT than I would have expected.

Look , not hating on Guardiola here, but Mourinhio's percentages here are far more impressive than any of the others.
