another goal for Ronaldo.

In last two years Ronaldo scored 14 Free kicks for Madrid in all matches.

2 against Zurikh, 1 marseille, 1 Lyon, 1 Milan in CL.
3 against Villareal, 1 Getafe, 1 Valladolid, 1 Bilbao, 1 Zaragoza in Liga,
1 against hertha berlin and 1 against America in friendlies.

adding his FK's for NT : about 19 free kicks in 2 years.

Free-kicks generally seem to be changing a lot in football, if I'm being honest. No longer do we rely on fantastic free-kick takers to score the goals. The idea of not scoring directly from free-kicks and whipping it in for other players to head into the net seems to be more appealing for teams nowadays.

Well, against Barca, Ronaldo shouldn't have taken the FKs. RM can only thrive on chaos against Barca, so it would have been smart to let Alonso take an indirect free kick, which are 9 out 10 times effective in creating some form of threat. Kicking the ball into the wall is dangerous, especially against Barcelona, because the field might turn immediately and it is a waste too.

Actually, I would say that some of the Madrid players who are not CR are pretty good at it too. They just don't always try to go for the direct goal. I would say that Alonso's FKs are one of the most effective ones out there, he either scores or creates a goal scoring opportunity, often resulting in a goal. He rarely wastes them completely.
