We either play to Chamakh's strengths when he's on, or not bother trotting him out at all

what are his strengths? he cant do SHIT
Heading the ball..? Suspect

Well, we just don't have the depth for 4 cups. There's a bright side.

I'd rather we win the FA than the Carling, anyways.

Great showing by the kids against a very, very strong City side.

My ratings

Fabianski 6.5- Did nothing wrong but i didnt feel "safe" with him in the nets. He is a great keeper and all that but the feeling szczesny provides, he couldnt.

Djourou- 7- i thought he did really well all night but was at fault for the goal though.

Squillaci- 6.5 one of his good performances in the Arsenal shirt

Koscielny- 7- Boss

Miquel - 7 - not a LB but he did great there specially with AJ on that side.

Frimpong 8- Everyone saw what he did, He is a beast. future legend and a better version of Muamba

Coquelin 8- He is the technical version of frimpong. Great partnership with Dench tonight

AOC-8- Probably the best thing since Wilshere broke through

Benayoun 6- bit quiet but he doesnt have the legs to play on the wings anymore. Was better through the centre everytime he came in.

Chamakh - 5.5 - looked sharp and nice touches but average game

Park 5- Invisible

Team performance 7/10

This defeat also means two less games in January, whereas Liverpool will have to play those games. So that may work in our favour.

I feel we do need another striker, but I don't think we should be ragging on Chamakh and Park for tonight. Chamakh did play well; much better than he has been, while this was Park's fourth game for us and is obviously still adapting.

Chamakh + Park not good enough for Arsenal.

AOC, Coquelin + Frimpong superb players for the future.

Squillaci and Koscielny good games.

Djourou, let Aguero run off him for the goal, but in general playing like his best last season.

Gervinho needs to learn how to shoot.

Arshavin 3 mins whats the point?

Frim and Coq were both stuck on Beat Mode. Also very impressed by Chambo. Unlucky we didn't get more from the gme- but we tried.

07-08 + 08-09 we had Van Persie, Adebayor, Bendtner and Eduardo. I know we played 442 then, but shows the strength in depth compared to now.

AOC + Frimpong + Coquelin are amazing. The future is so jizzworthy. Our midfield is so set for the future, no signings are necessary maybe only at CAM.

and is Koscielny becoming world class before our eyes?

We might have lost but the boys should be proud considering the team we put out compared to city.

Was a strong performance but we definantly need new strikers as besides rvp our strikers suck dogs balls.

Podolski would be nice to have in attack Smile

I was really impressed with how arsenal played today. Young guns did really well to not only match Shitty's midfield but also bossed thier midfield. However i cant say the same for our strikers, both Park and Chamakh didnt do well. Chamakh was trying but he looked exhausted from the very begining. Park was invicible. We really need another striker because with these two we are going nowhere.

Again, i feel Chamakh is taking too much flack here. We all know his best and ONLY asset is his aerial prowess. Knowing this, we should have looked to deliver more crosses in, as well as [good] corners. Imagine Walcott delivering one of those sumptuous crosses from the weekend in to a waiting Chamakh....

Gerv should have come on 10 minutes earlier and the Ox should have finished the game. Arshavin is a lost cause; first thing he did when he came on was lose the ball

Chamakh was also damn good at holding the ball and causing penalties, back in the pre orgy times.

Really, he was great at everything except shooting. He hasn't been played properly since we first bought him, and to a striker confidence is everything, apart from usually he's being played with the youth team or reserves, so it does not surprise me he isn't ripping it.

chamakh has been awful, but at least he's trying hard. if he wasnt giving any effort (arshavin-style) it'd be a totally different story.

and yeah sam, mancini was taking the pi$$ lol

not at all worried about the result.. Our 2nd team did well to keep City at bay but got caught on a counter.. They created nothing.. Defence was rarely troubled except by some pace by Johnson..
but the problem was Chamakh failing badly.. And Park doing no good.. we need an atleast average striker...

And no one was expecting us to win.. Except for our captain Van Persie.. Did u see the reaction when we missed that injury time chance ? He is not Cesc.. Surely a captain...
defence looked good.. kos again hero.. Djurou and Squillaci did good.. Miquel also managed lb well..
Frimpong and Coquelin had excellent games.. Good tackles..benayoun can do what Rosicky does for us now.. And the hero was Chamberlain.. He really showed he is a level above other players.. Certainly needs and will get more first team oppertunities..
Fabianski didnt look confident and was rusty.. May be the lack of matches showing in..

It's true, if someone like van Persie were there he probably would score a hattrick. Our midfield was bossing there, but our strikers were unable to do something.
