I think it is illegal. Even if it is, the FA probably won't take any retrospective action, knowing them. They should do, since actual towels have been banned, so why not towles in the shirt?

Shows how reliant they are on the long throw to cause problems that they're sneaking towels into games.

Commentators made a point about Shotton's undershirt, which they hypothesized was specially made to dry the ball off, but thats not the same as a towel nor is it against any rules IIRC....

Tbf we were drying the ball everytime it went out for a thrown , goal kick or corner when we beat them lol.....

I've no problems with the towels, nor with using an undershirt. I do, however, believe that spending 30 seconds to a minute on each throw-in and/or modifying jerseys are actions that break rules of the game (time-wasting for the former) and as such, should be punished IF such activities are going on.
