DM-LASS(more power,energy,positioning and one on one tackle than khedira)
LM-MARCELO(was more effective than ronaldo yesterday and most el clasico)
RM-DIMARIA(was good at dribbling yesterday,not his best,but was better than ronaldo plus real madrid dont really have another winger like silva who is a natural AM.
AM-KAKA(may ozil was okay,but kaka has more balance experience and character plus dictatorship)
CF-BENZEMA/HIGUAIN(benzema is more of a team player,but higuain has more eye for goals)

RONALDO(mostly inconsistent)

OZIL(lack physicality,character and dictatorship)

DIMARIA(if only real madrid ever had a better winger aside ronaldo)

Why is everyone hating on Di Maria?

I honestly don't get it. I was most scared when he had the ball than anyone else. He actually ran up against Barcelona players and for the most part, succeeded, unlike a certain Ronaldo. With a little more luck and a better final pass he would be your best player in the next Clasico IMO.

Di Maria is their most dangerous attacker, with one moment of brilliance he can create a goal from nothing

And he can mess up a great counter attack with a stupid pass to Valdes .

Everybody did stupid passes even Xavi 2-3 times passed the ball to madrid players. Di Maria yesterday was the best player for madrid. He was the only one who was bringing the ball to the barcelona box. and he worked like a donkey. after he was subbed off iniesta dominated that wing

He wasn't our best player billion. dribbling 3 or 4 players and giving a ball away with a stupid pass isn't really an achievement. you are biased toward him.

at least he gave away after dribbling. but most of your players were giving away without even dribbling. and its not about his passes, it was all about his hard work. if not him barca would score 5-6 goals with possession play. di maria was destroyer

I'm agree with that. he is a must against Barca because of his workrate.

but my problem with Di Maria is his decision making. he can be 3x better player if he use his head and learn to pass better.
and please don't show me his number of assist's in Liga because stats prove nothing. just like Ronaldo who have godly stats in scoring but against Barca he can't shot to save his life.

Di Maria looked very threatening, but his end product was wasteful. I agree Benzema was your best player, and I also thought Lass was pretty damn effective in midfield

In this case you have the wings completely covered, by 2 players with defensive capabilities on each wing, yet plenty of attacking prowess in them too. Benzema can function as a bit of deeper playmaker too.

Actually, you need Kaka or Ozil for this too work... But I am thinking about this one still. Potentially in this line up, Coentrao can play also partially to cover Alonso/Khedira at times, as Marcelo has his back then.
