Santos won't sell (until they get an offer that is within their liking) and Neymar won't leave until 2014 (once Santos don't agree to a deal to which case, with the right amount of money, he'll be gone).

I've seen enough "I'm not leaving, I'm not selling" to know that Santos would sell and Neymar would leave before his said time. Those two aren't no different...

I don't know what's going on with his contract but I for one don't think we need him right now unless the plan is to get rid of Villa then I'm all for it.

As for Neymar, I though it was a great thing for him to stay at Santos and let the club reap the benefits of having him on the team until the WC in brazil and bring attention the the brazilian league which IMO is still on par with a lot of european leagues.

I must admit I was wrong. He needs to go to Europe and play with the best in the world. Also, I don't think Barca is the best place for him as he needs to go somewhere where he will be a starter. I think he will reach a cealing in the Brazilian league very soon and the only way for him to get better is to go to Europe. HE should make the move either in Jan or at the end of the year.

I think he should go to PSG to join with Pastore and prove it there like Dinho did ..

no offense but if you really think that it makes no difference that his new 'contract' being void makes no difference, that he'll stay at santos til 2014 without huge incentives, that he wont say he's staying while he's in talks with other clubs then you're horribly foolish!!

as Che said, david villa resigned for 5 years and left within the year, all the time saying he wasnt going to!

the likes of CR7 and tevez who happily tell the media that they want to leave are the exceptions, not the norm!

footballers and clubs will til the last minute tell the media that so-and-so isnt leaving so as to keep his price up!

if neymar suddenly came out in an interview and said "Barcelona, come get me, I really want to leave!!!" then suddenly they have the upper hand and can negotiate his price down! so he and santos say he's staying til 2014 and it stops that from happening!!

Neymar wants to be the best in the world and he wants to be for the WC in 2014, and for that to happen he has to play for a top team!! he saw yesterday what a top team is like and saw the potential of what he could become if he played with them!

Che that's a classic move used all the time to heighten the transfer fee. It didn't mean he was committed to Valencia. Aguero also did exactly the same thing: he signed a new contract to get a higher transfer fee for the club with the promise that they'd let him go within a year. Neymar, on the other hand, does seem committed to actually stay until 2014.

So all that new contract 2014 stuff was just all BS?
