Lukaku isn't good enough to be a starter for us atm despite his form in the Belgian League (which is probably the equivalent of the Championship). Even in the Pro League he was very inconsistent, it's just simply unrealistic to expect him to be a starter at Chelsea so soon when Drogba, Torres and Sturridge are ahead of him in a team that only plays with one striker.

Romeu comes from the best academy in the World, Varane was a starter for a Ligue 1 side.

Romeu was sold because he knew he wouldnt be in peps plan

Lukake was killing the league and was followed by everyone, they play CL so i dont think its comparable to Championship

Varane was playing for a relegation team lol its like taking samba off Blackburn

give him a season before judging him IMO

if Madrid are clever, they will groom him into long term Alonso replacement and imo he has more potential than Alonso.

Kid has been injured for the most part of last year.

This year he will come back into rotation.

i will rub it in your face when he succeeds, feel free to do the same if he doesnt. Mourinho is my scape goat anyway.

Exactly. I think that is Mou's plan. People are quick to forget that Mou personally wanted this guy. But he has been injured for 9 months and it takes alot of time before you gain back your match fitness.

so you either send Ozildane to the bench or play him out of position on the wing for the sake of cramming two similar players (Sahin and Alonso) into one lineup? How does that make any sense at all?

Not gonna bench Özil, he can play as a ACM if Mou wants him to play, along with Alonso and Sahin as his partners.

RG's right that he's probably a long term Alonso replacement.

Plus you can't keep both Özil and Sahin happy, due to having one of them on the bench. But then again, this is Madrid FFS. You always have WC players on the bench. Either Di Maria, Higuain, Albiol or Sahin, there's always going to be someone benching, although it doesn't mean they won't get games.

Sahin can defend decently, but not Mou-class. He had Schweinsteiger level tackling rates in his last BL season.

I do agree that Mou won't play him without a DM.
