Why so difficult name for the forum?

Everything is great in the forum including design, buttons etc. but why didnt you choice an easy and simple name for the forum? goallegacy.forummotion.com takes 5 seconds to type

i dont like bookmarking i love to type directly and open the site. But this is not the main problem. in the google search it doesnt look so good and not attractive. its interesting why you didnt make simple and cool name

It is true tho, goal.com was a complete website and if you wanted to type to the forum you could but you could also enter the forum from goal.com (like I did)

forums.goal.com had 13 letters and goallegacy.forummotion.com has 23 letters. forums.goal.com had a logical name even if you didnt remember site name you still would use your logic to remember it. forums? where ? at goal.com, ok lets type forums.goal.com. it was easy for everybody not only for the forum users

but i think its because this forum is free, thats why it has so long name

So your grip, if I understand this correctly, is that you're unhappy with the new name of the forum because the words "legacy" and "forumotion" cause you waste precious seconds of your time typing in the site address?

You said it yourself, it's 23 letters. We chose the name because it correctly reflects the aftermath or "legacy" that the original Goal.com forums left behind. It's an appropriate name and it will stay.

for promotional purposes a simple www.goallegacy.com or goallegacyforums.com would be easier tbh but as it appears its a free domain service i understand the rebellion

actually i was wondering why you dont use simple and attractive name. i believe that forums.goal.com was the best name on the net. easy, attractive, logical and concrete

i mean when a basketball fan searches for football forums on google he will click forums.goal.com in first place then maybe goallegacy.forummotion.com (after checking 10-15 other sites). thats what i meant

I tried that with the BBC's World Cup fixtures and results table. I changed it back to Google after half a day when i realized how much i actually need Google to be the first thing that comes up when i open my browser

I set my browser (Chrome) to open 2 tabs at startup. I keep one for google, the other for the forum. It does the job.

Use Google Chrome, and you have just to type "goal" (and then it appears automatically - the domain).
